actually upon further investigation the old model was a bastardsword so i reverted the sword back to it's orginal model, and then changed it to a bastardsword becuase that's what it looks like, and that's what my paladin uses... :-D EDIT: oh yeah, and i gave it the correct enhancement bonus
Personally, I would just kill for NPC's to stop taking magic items. It... It just makes me so angry. And sad.
well i wanted the old holy long sword model, then i realised that was a bastard sword model.... so now i'm trying to figure out a model and effect to give it that is correct for a longsword, as well as correctly give a +1 enhancement... see my other post for details
If you making the wive and "owned"characters not take anything, Fruella needs to be in there and a check, if possible, in case you free Serena after 'buying' her.
Hmmm. Just tried Shins new thingie. Melenie is still swiping arrows, but that's it. Fruella isn't taking anything anymore. Shin - Are you my daddy? If not, would you like to be?
Oh shit, arrows... damn it. Jus forgot it. It'll be updated soon. As well as some stat modifications for Scorrp. Fruella specifically states she wants FULL share. She's a bitch, she should stay bitch. . She should be taking golds and gems and rings...
You know what? I could give a rats ass if ANY NPC is taking gold, gems, or rings. Let's face it, money isn't really a big hinderance in these games. The only thing I care about is these NPC's taking MAGIC items (including magic rings!). Those bitches can take all the non-magical loot they want. As long as they leave Hamster the magical stuff. Also, you know what would be really nice, Shin? If you could find a way for them to stop auto-selling their inventory. That way, you could give them potions / scrolls.
Preventing them selling their stuff requires more than just adding flags in the proto.tab, it will need some scripts. I'm no programmer, but here's how it could work : If someone could make a script for an item flag (let's name it "NO_NPC_SELL") so that the the game checks if a NPC can sell it or not... But I'm not sure if this can be done at all. To justify my "mod"'s mechanism, I just hated seeing NPC looting dead bodies till nakeness for crap gloves that costs like 1 SP, it didn't appeal "realistic". (although maybe I should have let them loot expensive armors like half-plate) Also about magic weapons and magic items, yes, NPC should have their word on the share RPG-wise, but for the gameplay's sake, since a PC has no access to NPC's belonging BUT NPC has access to PC's belonging... My argument is : Just give him his fare share of items by YOURSELF if you're Role-Player.
Thanks for the flagged item changes - that should make things easier. I wouldn't mind NPCs looting items normally, so long as they were kept within a few basic ground rules. I think the following would make them okay: 1.) Re-instate NPC selling, so that they clear out their inventories 2.) Don't loot magical items 3.) Don't loot any items if there are less than, say, five inventory slots free
Shin, how did you fix that? I'd just ask for your new protos file, but mine is heavily modified with changes I'd like to keep You can, however, still send me the protos file and I will update the your fix that I'm hosting. It's your descision
