Hickory Branch MOD informational update **************************************** I am happy with all of the encounters. I am happy where everything is at [positioned]. I am happy with all of the equipment, weapons + gear, that everything uses. I am happy with how everything fights. My new AI Strategies totally rock. You should find my new AI Strategies to be cool and be a refreshing change of pace. (even you, too, my friend Gaear) Notes: (1) There is one buggy issue I am still working on fixing to resolve. (2) There are a few questions I am looking at to determine proper answers for my new MOD with respect to the proper ToEE modder authorities. **************************************** *props* Cujo has labored literally endless hours with his virtual graphics forge, worked hard and placed much effort, on new sweet graphics eye-candy stuff...all totally Cujo cool style, too, that will be released with my new MOD. ***** new graphics stuff from Cujo ***** 1. Sickle 2. robes of midnight 3. helm of midnight 4. Kobold Sergeant 5. Plus, Cujo has been secretly working on a new graphics project for a new surprise of mine that I have in my new MOD. * Cujo absolutely made the coolest, best looking new mesh for a new thing in my new MOD where I could not have asked anyone for anything better than what Cujo provided. It will be obvious when you see it in my Hickory Branch MOD.
Sorry. There are just so many posts it's hard to get through all the information... And then I noticed your post was about 3 inches above mine. Me and all my patience...
Hi Krunch, Like many others I'm really looking forward to playing this mod of yours - it sounds a lot of fun. Do you have any recommendations as to party strength requirements etc? I think I just triggered the moathouse re-spawn last night by clearing the Broken Tower - would that be right? If so, I just want to know if I should go back and avoid doing this or if a level 9 party of 6 will be strong enough for Hickory Branch? (I'll keep the save) Good luck in squishing that bug!
There is more to my new MOD than what you might think. There are some unexpected surprises to my new mod. I will not reveal them. Expect your party will have to travel back and forth, to and from Hommlet to rest, heal and memorize spells, and maybe even buy more gear or better gear. Having said that, here is something for you to consider. character party strengths [to complete all of the entire mod] 5th level party - extreme challenge (frustrating) 6th level party - high challenge 7th level party - medium challenge 8th level party - low challenge (boring) [EDIT] coming soon
I will coordinate with CtBlue and release my new mod early this weekend, for sure - sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning [East Coast USA]. more and details to follow...looks like a fun weekend
OOOOOoooooohhhhhhh! Play, play, play the refreshing mod! Really looking forward to it, but I hope I have a save left before the respawn...
I wanted to let you know that I used the new Temple.DLL file [August 20th version from Co8 5.0.1 update] by SpellSlinger and ran my MOD using the new DLL. It works, i.e., the new Temple.DLL does not cause a CTD [crash-to-desktop] when running my MOD of which consists of a base of the Co8 5 MOD installed and updated with the Co8 5.0.1 Cumulative Fixes [August 20th] along with my new MOD added on top of it.
I am waiting to receive the offical green light *thumbsup* Co8 PM mail message about my new mod and it being put on the Co8 FTP site for the Co8 community and public download. At that time, I will start a new thread and post an announcement with game notes in the new thread with a link to the download path for my new mod.
I just got my new party to Hickory Branch - excellent work, Krunch. Cujo's robes look awesome, too. Kudos to all who helped put this mod together! BTW - "Orc Rundor?" They died so quickly I never had a chance to see how useless they really were. Which is just about perfect.
