I found something strange... after butchering the Hommlet Church, the Inn and the blacksmith. I went to Nulb... and the blacksmith there attacked me without reason. Strange.

Not a bug. Figure out who the blacksmith is and you'll understand why he might be a bit angry with you.

Blue - new install has definitely cured the majority of the familiar problems. However, I can on occasion, but not every time, still replicate being able to summon two familiars so that's still being a little funky.

Thank you for being willing to spend so many hours last night going through and ensuring that the familiar/backpack issues were an issue with my specific installation of the game :) For anyone else with this issue, Blue figured out a workaround for me which doesn't require a new install: use another party member to talk to the familiar and tell it to get into the backpack.

Thanks for the feedback on these guys, we have had very little so far.

Personally I thought Pishella was a bit overdone, but there u go. As for Ronald, I agree, but Endarire actually rolled higher stats and we brought them down a little (I also wanted to tweak his Wisdom up since he is a cleric but it didn't happen. Other tweaks were in accord with his character - dex & strength to use the longbow, reasonable int to indicate his education etc).

Bottom line - how many NPCs do u skip because their stats suck? Personally, i avoid most of them for that reason, and i like using NPCs. Ron is there to be used.

"As for Pishella, it is not supposed to do that, but it is a known issue for characters with two spell caster classes."

    Hello Cerulean,

is there nothing to fix this bug ? I have a Druid/Sorcerer and it's a bit annoying to be very penalized by not counting on the legal number of spells I should have...

Oddly enough, the casting bug makes her feel more balanced than she might if the bug didn't exist. Been levelling her up as a sorceror which has been fun. If there was a concern about having her join early (being level 2 and all), could a trigger be installed such that she wouldn't join the party until they've proven themself somehow? Perhaps Burne wouldn't let her go until you'd rooted out the problem at the camp? Just a thought.

Ronald, well he is the only Cleric in my party. Recruited Meleny to help fill out my healing shortage. As for his stats, any stat deficiencies can be overcome by crafting appropriate items later on. Even characters with sub-par stats become monsters with the right equipment. Don't recall the stats off-hand, but dropping STR/DEX to 13 would give access to cleave, dodge, etc. Dropping them to 12's would make the stat increase (at level 4 I think) an even more important decision on how Ronald wants to progress as a character.

I don't skip NPC's with sucky stats. Whether I recruit them is based on whether I have a slot open in my party for thier skillset or personal traits. If so, they get twinked out with gear that makes them effective. Even the maligned Raimol is pretty decent with the right equipment. Elmo & Fruella are on my avoid list for awhile.

One thing I like that was implimented in D&D Online are feats for 2-handed fighting for use with the big 2-handed weapons.

    @myself

As Blue noted, Rangers may not get to cast Cure Lt. until having access to 2nd level spells (bleh). BUT, the spell list does not display Cure Light at all, while you CAN see Cure Moderate Wounds with it's little caveat as to how it needs to be slotted.

Like many others, slapping myself on the forehead about the Blacksmith's 24 hour waiting period. Forgot about it =p

The reason you can see Cure Moderate Wounds is because that is a Co8 addition. The original game only had Ranger ( and Paladin) spells up to second level. We (meaning Darmagon) couldn't make the game add higher level spells for those two classes. The work around was to add all the higher level spells as first level spells, but have them only work if you were high enough level to cast them.

Second level spells, such as Cure Light Wounds, will not be seen at all until you are high enough level to cast them.

@Salk: Unfortunately the fix for this would require the source code (which we do not have) or a .dll hack which is currently beyond our abilities.

@Zebedee: You are very welcome. It was for my own benefit as well. :) Oh, and before I forget, the ability to have any PC ask the familiar to get back in the pack was there ever since I enabled that from dialog, and with a reason: NPCs in your party cannot initiate dialog, so if you have an NPC caster with a familiar, he or she could never ask it to get back in the pack.

While exploring the Temple. I found a torture guy and a bugbear (earth). I butchered them. And with my last ... good will. I released the prisoners (women). And escorted them to Verbobonc. The sad thing is i dont know how to get out of Verbobonc now! Travel Agent and Innkeeper attacked me so i had to kill them. Dont know why they attacked me.

For the moment, and assuming there are no other ways to leave Verbobonc, when you are ready to leave the area, open up the console (shift+¬ on a British keyboard) and type in the following:

    game.fade_and_teleport(0,0,0,5007,487,488)

This teleports your party to the Hommlet Inn. A quick workaround until Allyx sees your post.

Thing is Havoc you kill everyone ond everything right, so it probably has something to do with factions and the AI_shitlist. Once your on it things attack you in retribution for attacking others. It may not be this but playing the game the way you do you have to expect not to be very popular with the NPC's. So if the wheel of Karma is crushing you I have no pity.

Re: 5.0.1 mods and fixes bug reports

Well, I finally made it to Verbobonc and thought to provide a bit of feeback. Possible SPOILERS AHEAD so be forewarned.

    - When entering the chamber of the prince and his 2 advisors it would be nice if you initially saw thier names/titles as nobles or somesuch. Then after speaking with them have thier names static.

    - Travel Agent. I thought I was screwed the first time I talked with him as I didn't see an option out of the dialogue. Any chance of getting a "Nevermind" option in the main menu?
    - Travel Agent has an option for the Moathouse labelled "G:" ?????

    - Elysia; Keeps on giving me money. That's nice and all, but I think it could be infinite.

I really liked the look and feel of Verbobonc, and the dungeon was fun, though not very expansive from what I saw (pretty linear). Really liked the Gnomes guarding the door, it was a nice touch (plus the familiar faces). The really HUGE beasties were a delight as well.

I got burned for being too evil! Oh No!

But should travel agent be an other faction? Because its Hommlet i butchered and even nobody in Nulb is attacking me (well except the blacksmith which i butchered too).

Hommlet is under the protection of Verbo. Reputations precede you even in the game. Nulb is only 6 miles from Hommlet what makes you think that there would be no connection. Since when did being evil have anything to do with intelligence? Butcher all you like but don't report the resulting Havoc as bugs.

Edit: I am not suggesting that you don't post asking for help if you need it. If it is in fact a bug that has something to do with the mods and fixes by all means post it in this thread. Discussions of other things however have threads of there own.
