Here we are on the day of another Co8 mod release. I did some checking around this evening and found the release notices for all the previous (major) versions. Check it out: Circle of Eight ToEE Mod Version 1.0.0 - released October 2, 2003, posted by Vaevictis666 http://www.co8.org/forum/showpost.php?p=1590&postcount=1 Latest Circle of Eight Modification Pack Release (2.0.0) - released November 12, 2003, posted by Sol Invictus http://www.co8.org/forum/showpost.php?p=3644&postcount=1 Circle of Eight Mod Pack 3.0.0 - released June 2, 2004, posted by Zhuge http://www.co8.org/forum/showpost.php?p=5050&postcount=1 Co8 Mod Pack 4.0.0 - released November 2, 2005, posted by Morpheus http://www.co8.org/forum/showpost.php?p=22260&postcount=1 Interesting reading some of those old introductory remarks, like "The Circle of Eight Group would like you to take a look at a mod we've put together . . ." I guess those were the days before we became an institution. Most of those posters are rust and dust. Funny how that happens. I suppose the makers of Co8 8.0.0 will think the same thing of us some day.
I'm planning on taking Allyx on a drinking binge as soon as KotB is done - if we survive I might stay on for GDQ, but i don't plan on surviving
Always wondered why is the official patch 3 not loadable for these mods? Did it come after 4.0 if so will 5.0 be able to use it? Macer
The word on these boards about Official Patch 3 was, and is, that it introduces more bugs than it fixes. Add to that the fact that moebius2778 came up with a patch that fixed everything Official Patch 3 fixed, without the added bugs, and fixed a few more things as well. So Official Patch 3 is completely unnecessary when playing our mods.
heh heh heh... *whistles innocently, hands in pockets.* EDIT: Although, to give proper credit, someone came along behind me and fixed a few issues my re-enabling dialogue introduced (If I remember correctly, something about an Orb quest getting horked...) Haven't gotten to that point in the game yet (I beat it originally w/ just the v1.0.0 patch installed), so I dunno what it's like anymore... <g>
