Here are the top 30 posters of the Circle of Eight forum. The data is given as of 28th Jun 2006, and here it's of no importance whether the posts were mostly on topic or offtopic/rant, and we don't count whether a person is still here with us or if he's MIA/retired/left/whatever. We just count the numbers here for now. I don't know why, just for fun. TOP POSTERS 1-10 1. Shiningted - 2,862 posts - Post Count Champion. 2. Allyx - 1,900 posts 3. Lord_Spike - 1,590 posts 4. I'm posting this just because I came in late and I really got my work cut for me if I every want to catch up to Ted , since he is extremely active , with KotB still in the works that will probably never happen :notworthy so I bow to you King o' Spam, your my Postcount Hero. Shine On.
I'd like to add that being 2nd, 10th, 30th, 50th, 100th, or 1000th in the list sorted by the post count doesn't mean that one person is less important than the other. Of course not! Everyone who makes a post, even a single post that helps the Circle of Eight make a step forward, is extremely important for our community. So the list above must NOT be interpreted as sorting people by their importance, it's just made for fun since we don't have a front page at co8.org anymore and therefore the "top poster", and other stuff like that is no longer accessible. And I kind of like that sort of thing. So, I hope no one gets offended. - Agetian
In the big picture post count doesn't really mean a thing, unless you already in the top 10, only thing I don't understand is why before you put this thread up, your count was 709, you posted twice in this thread and your count is only 710 now, not 711. So the way it counts and what is counted as a post doesn't really make sense to me. If I am going to post effectively, to up my post count I need to understand the rules. Edit - Nevermind, that bumped me up to 156, hehe that was good for 1, if you hear footsteps behind you Ted, its definately not me. Unless of course you want to take off for a week and I want to make 387 posts a day, hmm wonder if that would get me banned:yikes: , guess thats never going to happen
It counts exactly like that: +1 post per +1 post, really I just wrote "709" in that post because I knew it would be my 709th post, and I decided to count it as well. Right now I'm gonna post this, and this is going to be my 711th post because my previous one was #710. - Agetian
Damn I'm down to 4th place. At the end of last yeah I was second to none - well except for ted but he's as far beond spammers as the rest of us spammers are above everyone else
What? A thread on spamming was up for more than 24 hours and I didn't even notice? O, the humanity! When I first came here, we had a front page that proudly proclaimed Liv was the top poster. I must say, it was a weird day for me when I took over from her - talk about "not worthy!" But I put it behind me and soldiered on I don't know I can tolerate having Al within a thousand of me though, may have to take drastic action :dead: Edit: Why do I get the feeling Blue is gonna post "Nooooooooo!!!" 96 times?
Yes, that is true, Blue. You are thee constant chugging along helpful modder who gladly replies with sagely advice [in a meek and humble spirit - most of the time].
Such low post-counts compared to some forums... not that it matters that much. Reading through several of the threads that I've seen here, I cannot help but notice a great sense of community among you. For me, that re-affirms the positive nature of my choice to join. Now if only I was useful.
