While in various animal forms, my druid's movement rate keeps being reduced to almost nothing for no apparent reason. There is no spell effect or encumbrance icon that would explain this, yet much of the time, when her turn comes up in battle she is restricted to what would be a movement rate of about 10, if not less, in tabletop D&D (standard for a human is 30). She has hardly any equipment and in any case, it should merge with the animal form, and the forms she keeps using have huge Strength scores that should let her haul just about anything. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Just a little clarification here please jeffh, that definately sucks, but could you tell me one thing to help me out will I look for the problem. Pull up the inventory screen when this is happening and tell me what it says in the speed block it should say 30.0 as you stated in your post. Also if you can cast haste on the druid and see if the movement percievablely changes in the game, or on the speed meter on the inventory screen. I don't know if your problem will be linked to that number or not, so I'll take a look at the movement rates for the animal forms in the meantime and how the program goes about the change.
This is once again an old bug. Other threads have dealt with it, but I don't remember if there was a solution.
Here, hope these help. This might even be a "kinda" fix... http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3254&highlight=wildshape (Note, I find the animal companions do level with you, just that Rangers ones are far weaker than Druids, but yes, the attacks of Wildshape might be better, I'll have to recheck. At least Stoneskinning and other enchantments will still work.)
