Title says it all... my NPCs are looting stuff off of bodies but never selling it when I got to a trader... now they're encumbered, fighting not worth squat and I can't get them to let og of the crap they're carrying! (In addition my fighter's carrying a black pearl he can't seem to sell - if I try, it claims the pearl belongs to an NPC even though it's in a PC's posessions).

Anyone have any suggestions, beyond getting the NPCs killed, looting the bodies and then resurrecting them?

Crap - I just thought to check over on the Atari forums and no, I can't get around it.

So - new question - I just downloaded the C08 patch; I suppose this means I have to start a new game AGAIN, eh?

And anyone got any advice on fighting ogres, specifically how to keep from getting my melee fighters spattered all over the landcape?

When you install the Co8 4 MOD, there is an executable file named Humble_NPCs in the parent game install folder of ToEE. After you install Co8 4 MOD, run Humble_NPC and take what you want from their inventory at will with no argument or the game saying no.

Yes, you will have to start over with a new game.

Oh, goody! 'Cause, you know, I was REALLY looking forward to schelpping all the frickin' way through the Moathouse again and wandering around the Meadows after the crazy preist's jewelry and maybe getting another TPK or two 'cause I strayed too close to the hill giant.

    Oh, joys! :tears: :eek:mg: :eek:mg: :eek:mg:

(as Tom Servo once said, "Bitter? Oh, a tad.")

I've just started aforementioned new game, and I must say - for all my complaining about starting over it looks pretty good so far. Kudos to the writers.

Actually, with 4.0 Mod you may not need to start a new game, when I put it in I didn't, just make sure your save files are in the new Co8 folder. With 5.0 mod you'll need a new game but that's not necessarily the case for 4.0 bro. Try it.

You do not absolutely need to start a new game with 4.0.0, but if you don't, you may well miss out on some of the new stuff in it.
