anyone have any insight to the slowdowns in the nodes I dropped my particle slider to 0, it seemed to help a bit but they seem to be pathing or sound related ? anyone got any tips on improving performance here?
Workaround for slowdowns in nodes Not really a workaround, but I just switched back to 800x600 resolution and was at least able to move around and get out - eventually. It was still slow in places and I sometimes had to wait a minute or two for the screen to unfreeze. Only drawback is that you can't see as far so are more likely to walk into an enounter and sometimes the portraits in the initiative tracker run off the end of the screen. But you do get to see your characters in more detail! Note my system is a paltry 1 GHz machine with only 128 MB RAM and a wimpy GeForce2 with just 32 MB. Bigwilly
It seems that in areas with high requirements to graphic card there are slowdowns ... They happend to me either The only recipe was - low resolution plus slow moves or game started to 'idle' ...
