OK - so I did search the threads, and of course I've read the manual -- that said the modding geniuses (and I do mean that sincerly since I really like 4.0, and am dying to see 5.0 (aka "The Egyptian Whore") or whatever ur gonna call it) on here are always doin amazing things with this game so I thought I would just ask... Is there a way to remove one (or more) of your party membrs, and then re-add them. Or do I basically have to give all their stuff to an NPC (aka pack mule), remove them - and then adjust exp with the console when I "re-add" them. I only ask, because my Paladin ( ) gets on the nerves of my Dwarven Druid/Wizard - he ( :imwithstu )and my Half-orc Fighter/Monk wanna go camping for a few days ( :chainsaw: ) (i.e boost their XP to make up for XP penalties). Any input is appreciated. Thanks! - JTL PS, if it IS possible and someone wants to tell me how, as oposed to saying "yes, its possible", that would be cool too.
Sorry about that James. I was in a mood that day. The answer to you question is no, it is not possible. At least not for now, and not in the foreseeable future. Sorry.
No Worries, ha ha I actually thought it was kind of funny when I read that post. But I figured I'D be better off framing my request As for your answer - it is what I feared. But hey - that's what game balance is all about anyway. Nobody made me have a Half-orc Fighter/Monk, I just really wanted the bonus to hit and damage from Weapon focus/specialization Thanks for taking the time to answer. Take care - and happy modding to you!
You should have made them 2 characters human instead, any favoured class = no XP penalties for 2 un-even class levels
fyi - You can add experience points to characters by using the console to set character experience points a higher amount. game.party[X].stat_base_set(stat_experience,Y) (from left-to-right) Make X = 0 for char #1, 1 for char #2, 2 for char #3, etc. Also, make Y = the new amount of experience, previous exp plus the amount you want to add.
As you can tell from this line copied from the first post in this thread, Krunch, James already knows how to set XP from the console.
Maybe he does know--maybe he does not know. He did not say he has the specific command memorized or has the command written on paper. He only made a brief reference to it.
@ Allyx -- yeah, I know humans would have been better for the uneven classes, but hey I liked the idea of a cool Dwarf wizard doin some druid stuff too (besides... HP!, dude). And the Half-Orc Monk/Fighter -- He HAD to have 20 Str, ha ha ha. Regardless, I appreciate the input and I am sure whoever else ends up with a similar question will too. @ Krunch -- Thanks for the follow up on the specific console command. That is what I thought it might be, based on some other stuff I had read -- But I'm not really into cheats, so I wasn't 100% sure. I tend to like to play the game for the game. So thank you for spelling it out. @Blue -- I appreciate you wanting to keep the posts brief and uncluttered - it makes for easier searching. I would have probably asked about the exact console command if I couldn't have figured it out through experimentation. I just know how busy everyone is modding the game, and the last thing I wanna do is waste anyone's time with reading and responding to an uber long thread with tons of questions that I could probably get figured out with some elbow grease of my own. So ALL IN ALL - Thank YOU! to eveyone on here! and get back to work on 5.0!!!! (kidding, dudes - ha ha, you guys have so made the game incredibly better I'd wait as long as i had to!) - OH - btw, if the thread is now off track or what not - I'm not gonna be offnded if anyone deletes it. I have my answers written down now
Off track & de-railed threads don't get deleted...they just get spammed! Eventually, they get back on track. Don't sweat the small stuff! :sweatdrop
