The fix: Wand of enlarge person bug: I'm not sure if this is the best place to send this but it was the best I could find. I found a bug in the item_creation.mes file that I am hoping you can fix in the next mod pack release. Basically, the line {12152}{"SEnlarge Person"} needs to be replaced with: {12152}{"SEnlarge"} The internal spell name is apparently just enlarge. I'm pretty sure this bug was in the original and was not introduced with your mod pack. I have made this fix in my installation and it works fine. Unfortunalty, when I install your mod pack it undoes my fix. Thank you for all of your hard work. You have really improved the TOEE experience for me. Wayne ohmer And now for the request, which I received in my e-mail: The issue is this: apparently, halfling monks can't select Weapon Finesse for unarmed strikes, or in fact for anything *other than* daggers. My (newly) 3rd-level halfling monk ran into this, as the only option that's available to her when I select Weapon Finesse for her 3rd-level feat is ... well, daggers. I guess this was missed so far because there probably aren't a whole lot of finessing halfling monks running around. Kevin Brosius
In the feat mes file there are two listings for weapon finesse: unarmed strike. One is for "small beings". My guess is that the feat selection process is using the feat for medium sized creatures. I don't know where to look for the solution however. I was hoping unarmed strike would be listed in the protos.tab but I don't see it. A short-term workaround would be to change the size category of a medium creature's unarmed strike to "tiny." Since only light weapons can be finessed, and halflings consider all weapons one class larger than normal, they can only finesse tiny sized weapons. But I can't figure out how to do this either. I don't remember seeing anything covering unarmed strikes in the dat files or the protos.
I'm also using a halfling monk and I've run into the problem that he was not proficient with either the small quarterstaff or the halfling singham. I also want to use weapon finesse so I hope that get fixed.
