I found this today while doing some looking around:

    http://www.oerthjournal.com/oerthjournals/OJ_12.pdf

It has a lot of information, straight from the man himself, E.Gary Gygax. A few of them bear directly on ToEE, and all of it sheds light on the World of Greyhawk. I recommend everyone give it a read! It talks about Fragarach, Thrommel's abduction, the Elder Elemental God(s), etc!

I'm not into such stuff normally, but this is a damn good read (the gygax interview, anyways).

Settles that whole Fragarach thing - but the identity of his kidnappers was a surprise!

I thought so, too. Perhaps evil is afoot in the Kingdom of Ny...? I also like the Elder Elemental God bits. Tharizdun, indeed. Bah!

Great read! I'm guessing there are more journals on the site?

If you want [a different web view] to see all the PDF downloads listed on a single web page to download without opening different web pages, not open each PDF one at a time in a different frame and whatnot, click here.

Right-click over each PDF file listed on the linked page and select "save target as...".

From reading that I think, perhaps, that the alignment of Fragarach and Scather should be changed to Lawful Good since it was, uh, supposed to be.

    :p Nyah...you told us so...;)

My only comment is that there is also material out there from the same person (EGG) stating that he was going to make a "paladin" type character for other alignments. Remember that thread? It gets confusing, probably even to him; and small wonder when you look at ALL of the stuff the man's created. He's probably forgotten more than we've ever made up. I suppose one answer is to look at what is the most recent thing he has said on a given topic. Still won't eliminate ALL the confusion, though. The cavalier class has got to be the answer to the "paladin for every alignment" question.

The Blackguard class looks like the antipaladin, save for being a Prestige Class...

Frankly I think that playing a fighter-cleric one can easily customize him/herself a Paladin-like character for any alignment. It's only a matter of being creative with feats and domains (and spells). Many DMs may even agree to exchange some powers with other more paladin-like (like Smite "put-your-choiche-here"). A Ranger-Druid can be a "Paladin of Nature", too.
