any1 know how to compleat these 2 quests?

im stuck on finding the ring of st.cuthbers (in emerdy medows) and i kant seem to find the swamp moss (save amii Quest)


im useing the Toffee mod:tombstone i have been working on themfor like 2 weeks, and have explored everything exept the temple of elemental evil

Are you talking about Terjon's Starburst Pendant and the Swamp Lotus?

Never ask me about the Swamp Lotus!:rant:

 

I am curious why you never want to be asked about the Lotus? I simply console it myself, but that is only due to me finding out after the fact about the quest.

 

1. He's been asked about it a zillion times;
2. He's answered it a zillion times;
3. He's modded a solution to aid in it's playability;
4. A simple search for Swamp Lotus would've told anyone who really wants to find the damn thing precisley what to do.

It ain't exactly "magic" to find a swamp lotus in the friggin' swamp. You simply have to search carefully whenever you find yourself in a swamp; and the sooner after receiving the quest that sent you to find it in the first place, the better.

I played once again through that quest this weekend, and I was surprised when the swamp lotus was not in its usual spot when I came across that particular map after accepting the quest. I just assumed that the quest just can't be completed every time and played on... and then came to the same map the second time. Now the swamp lotus was there.

 

Gotcha. Those are actually two different maps, though they look almost identical. The differences are very subtle. If you look very carefully, the one without the Lotus has a submerged road on the right hand side of the map. The easiest way to see it is to run your characters across it. They splash when they leave the road.

 

Swamp Rat (Rattus lutreolus) This common species occurs in a variety of habitats, ranging from wet and dry sclerophyll forests to buttongrass moorlands, to include swampgrass wetlands and coastal heath. It forms extensive systems of runways underground where there is dense grass or vegetation. Grasses and sedges form the main component of its diet, although insects and swamp lotus are favorites of this vermin.

Interesting. I never found it despite the fact I was running a game with all updated mods. I must say, the fact I consoled the flower only saved me time, which in the end, for Dwarven Plate, saved me money and that is it. I wish the list for the quest was longer but oh well.

 

Funny, I wasn't aware you were supposed to look for the damn thing in swamps: I just asked Screng and se handed the thing in a blink with no charge at all...
