I know I saw somewhere that you can edit the starting equipment, and I have the instructions for it. I wonder if anyone has a good list of high end equipment for the different classes? The .mes list is okay, but I've had to start this three times because of missed quests. (I'm anal like that). Thanks. YOU GUYS RULE!!!
il's already been posted a couple of times : http://bobtokyo.robertdorf.com/Characters/TOEE Stuff/TOEE Formatted Item List.htm it' s not sorted by differents classes of characters but by classes of ojects
That list is old, and entering some of those numbers in the console will give non-existant items that when dropped cause CTD's, The description.mes (in your data/mes folder) file IS the best place to find the numbers for items you want to console into your game, you can open it in notepad.
I have the list all printed out, and have been working off of it. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on best starting equipment per character. I saw this somewhere before, and I'll be eaten by Bertram if I can remember where it was.
Ewwww is right. At least I don't have a dagger that's coated in gully dwarf. Or was it troll? Doesn't matter, they both smell horrible.
I got the Ferrous Character Editor as well, (yes, I'm a big cheater ) and I'm a little stuck on it. It seems to work okay when I edit the Skills up to like 15 or so, but what about the Feats? I have a Fighter, Paladin, Rogue, Wizard, and Cleric created. Sturm, Caramon, Tasslehoff, Goldmoon and Raistlin
Heheheh, I like those guy's too, but Tas is my favourite something about that little cut purse really tickles my funnybones. Y'know in the PNP version of dragonlance, those characters started the adventure at (about) level 3. The Hommlet quests (and the frogs outside the moathouse) are enough to get 5 adventurers to level 3 (or you can type "levelup" (without the quotation marks) in the console repeatedly, to get to level 3).
Ferros works on editing feats if you do it slowly. Add a feat, save the character, add, save, etc. ... If the Editor crashes you have corrupted your character file, and will need to go in to the Players folder and manually restore the backup that Ferros creates. The more feats you have added, the more likely the character file will get corrupted. I have successfully added as many as 10 feats to a character, with only three corruptions in the process.
When you're adding feats, make sure you have all the pre-requisites - including levels - or this will cause a corruption of the file (ie - you can't just add Whirlwind Attack). Getting back to the original topic, certain items which appear in my data/mes cause a CTD when I try to spawn them - {6336}{Yakuza Tattoos} for example. Surely if they're in the description.mes they should appear? * Never mind * I think the problem was caused by me not reading the installation notes for Orion's mod...
Is this oop: really necessary? Honestly, kiddies, if you want to play, then do it in the General Discussion forum. Sheesh.
but really. is there a console code to edit starting equipment. im tired of looking like a band of brigands everytime i begin a new game...(looks around for Frostbrand)
Are you using the Co8 mod? The shop map mod allows you to customise your starting equipment at the start of the game (no frostbrands though - sorry).
