I recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled all of my drivers before attempting to install ToEE and all of the patches here. I have never had this problem before. I am using the most recent mouse driver for my Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, and I am running the ToEE Front End with Microsoft .Net 2.0. Again, this didn't happen to me last time I ran the game before reformatting; what could be the problem?
Nevermind; I had Microsoft .Net 2.0 installed, but didn't have 1.1 and it's patches installed (found them through Microsoft Update); after installing those, it seems to be working properly.
