shop map problem

    I downloaded the package in the "current mods" thread but am having the following 2 problems:

    1) the shop map doesn't come up although my party starts the opening with no stuff.

    2) 511 magic missle problem still occurs, I checked the common issues section and it said:

    "Symptom: I can cast more -511 magic missles and crash the game, and or i am unable to loot, or unable to loot except in combat. I have moebius2778's DLL installed correctly but i am still having this problem

    Solution: Make sure you are not using a version of the executable that has the DLL bundled inside it. The EXE should not be more than 2MB in size. replace the executable"

    Not sure which EXE is being referred to and therefore I can't check it.

    I believe the EXE they are referring to is the "TOEE.EXE".

    Yes but the frontend EXE is of a different size then the regular EXE. I wasn't sure which one to look at or that it makes a difference if they are different sizes.

    The ToEEFrontend.exe launches the Frontend (requires Microsoft.NET 1.1 or 2.0), in the frontend you select the Co8-4.0.0 module in the modules window, select any other option you like from the check boxes, save your settings, and click Launch ToEE, it will take a while to build the module's DAT file, then start the game with the Co8-4.0.0 mod including all the wonderful things it contains.

    The original .EXE file should no longer be used to launch the game (otherwise, what you described is what you get).

    Indeed.

    But this doesn't resolve my issues:

    1) still experience 511 magic missles, if this is still a bug after latest co8 release please tell me.

    2) no shop map, no faux caravan, no shopkeepers just naked PC's.

    Are you using the patch 1 no cd crack? if you are, get the patch 2 no cd crack. Otherwise I'd do a complete reinstall because something has gone wrong.

    install Patch 1 (if needed), Patch 2, then Co8-4.0.0 (full install), then try it out again.

    I guess I should have stated that.

    I'm using no no Cd crack, just the disk, patch 2 and the co8 link in current mods thread.

    I'll try reinstalling now and see if it works.
