1) is there a way to use the co8 with my saved games from before the patch 2) lock up upon quit (not a huge problem but kind of annoying) 3) any way to fix the "cant loot from dead enemy" with out restarting with the co8 (thus loosing my saved games and restarting) thanks
Umm, not with Co8 patches no - you must restart the game from scratch to avoid seriously buggy interactions between the new mods and old saves. You could finish this run through with the atari patch 3 (doesn't fix as much as the Co8 patch) but does fix the looting issue, then re-install with co8 patches for your next game.
The Atari Patch3 worked for some people. However, more often than not, people who installed Atari Patch3 experienced problems rather than ToEE working properly where they experienced a variety of game CTD crashes regardless of whether or not they installed any Co8 MODs. fyi - If you experience game CTD crashes after installing Atari Patch3, uninstall the Co8 4 MOD, reboot, and [after rebooting] reapply the Atari Patch2 overtop your existing install of ToEE. Then, you can install the Co8 4 MOD and reboot the computer.
I was playing with atari patch 3, then discovered co8 patch. I patched back to 2, installed co8, and copied my savegames back in. It *seemed* to work fine so i kept going. I've made a lot of progress (up to level 9 now). Am i in for some serious headaches because i've used my Atari version 3 savegames?
I started a new game with the co8 patch and front end, to see what its supose to be like then I will go pack and finish my other game by trying to copy copy my saved games into it... that way I can bear through the "headaches" with out really getting frustrated. thanks for the help
@gerwin; if things start slowing down, or you see a swarm of butterflies or fireflies on the way to the brewery - RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! The game will CTD if you get near Franks house (ooh don't tell Myella that you want to go in Frank's house either - you'll CTD on the way out).
