Hello, nice work here. I don't know if this been answered but i couldnt find the answer. I tried levyonias mod, but after some time (like 10 saves) my save file get corrupted and I have to restart. I use the hotkeys to reload if I die, but sometimes the introduction background start rolling instead and the file get corrupted (the background when u start a new game, temple interior). This happened after installing livonyas mod. Playing through the whole game without saving is not my cup of tea. Whats wrong here?
Without knowing how you're saving, I'd have to guess it has something to do with making quick saves. These are usually the ones which are corrupt. Try saving without using the keyboard shortcut.
One thing to be careful of is to never save during combat. Saves made during combat are generally not going to work for you. Otherwise, I use the quick save, quick load as my primary save methods, and after like 5 or 6 times through the game have never had this problem.
Got a similar problem Pardon me, but I must admit that I have a similar problem. Me, I have Troika Patch 2 and Moebius' (sp?) Temple.dll installed, so I'm not sure what to say. I'm quite certain I didn't save over a quick save - let alone ever used one. In the end, I was wondering if there could be another likely cause, for both myself and the writer of this thread. Besides, I'd hate to restart from the last good save, especially if I could still risk another corrupt file. aranoid:
Oh, no I don't. :blush: If saving over them is (part of) the issue, then that may be akin to the problem. *recollects back to his ToEE escapades* I'll get back to you folks on that. Edit: Wait a minute! I never saved over auto-saves! I often made new files for rolling hps on level-up. When I'd achieve a satisfactory roll (after a ton of lvl-up rolls), I'd save over one file, and save on an opposite file for the next character.
I usually save every hour or so, on a new slot each time with a short description of what sort of party i'm using and what level they are, I've had problems loading old saved games, the most recent game loads and runs just fine, but as soon as I try to loot something on a previous save I get a CTD. Iron man mode is also broken, can't loot anything and (even though auto-saves are switched off) it saves my game on map changes.
You should always switch off auto-save and not use it if u r playing Liv's mod - probably if u r not loading them its not a big deal, but just switch it off now and don't use it. Edit: forgot to mention, Drifter has made a patch that gives u max hp on level-up. Its around here somewhere, look for a thread called 'max hp on level-up' or try the download section. Hi, I'm new to these boards. Downloaded the Co84.0.0 patch and I've been loving every minute of it. Problem is that my game files have corrupted upon reaching the temple basement (entered through the broken tower) the last two times I've tried to play through. The first time it happened was with the Atari 3rd patch and no mods, and the second time was with Atari 2 patch and the Co84.0.0 patch. I'm not using auto saves and I don't think I saved during combat. I have a nearby save, but I don't want anything horrible to happen again.
Sounds like a bad installation. 1. uninstall ToEEFE (if you installed it) 2. uninstall Co8 4.0.0 MOD 3. uninstall the ToEE game 3. delete ALL the remaining game program folders where you installed ToEE 4. reboot the computer 5. install ToEE 6. apply Atari Patch1 and Patch2 (i always suggest apply both) 7. install Co8 4.0.0 MOD 8. install ToEEFE (if you want to install and use it)
