I've run into some problems with a halfling rogue when useing the crossbow.

Regular small crossbows works totally fine, no problem there at all.
    Masterwork crossbows work.

The problem is with enchanted masterwork crossbows (+1 and later +2), when I try to equip them it gives me the msg that the weapon is too large for my halfling.
Sometimes I could equip my +1 xbow after a little fiddeling around in the inventory and opening/closeing it some times.
Now with the +2 i can't equip the xbow at all.

Halfling rogue (lvl 5-6 first time i had my +1, now lvl 9)
    nonmagical crossbow = equips.
    unenchanted masterwork crossbows = equips
enchanted masterwork crossbow +1 = can sometimes equip
enchanted mastework crossbow +2 = can't equip at all

Is the size of those xbows set wrong? Halflings should be able to use them, enchanting them does not make them "bigger"

If anyone could test this also, and/or check the itemlist to see if their size is wrong i'd be really grateful.

btw, I'm talking about the small/normal crossbow not the heavy/large one.

Using the JaDE editor and checking the relevant fields, Light Crossbows are under item code 4096 which gives size_medium, whereas Heavy Crossbows are under item code 4097 which gives size_large.

However Masterwork Light Crossbows under item code 4177 are incorrectly coded as having size_large. Wonnilon's repeating crossbow +1 (item code 4130) which gives weapon type as light_crossbow also has its weapon type coded as size_large. Considering it once belonged to a gnome, this must have been at most size_medium for him to be able to use.

I suppose you can try altering the code in the protos.tab file after saving the original file as backup somewhere else, but I will defer to the more experienced modders here for a better solution.

EDIT: Was looking through other posts when I spotted this:

Spats ran into the same problem I believe. Hopefully there will be a fix for it soon.

    There is a workaround.

Equip a dagger, then right click on the crossbow.
