Hm, i recently discovered the possibility to assess that this kind of error was caused because i have a german version of ToEE (got it from my last vacation... :shy: ) May this have caused this problem??? thanks in advance G, Arkady
Sry for another stupid question/announcement, but i'm not allowed to download the no-cd crack due to some lame connection or perhaps my crappy modem(error message: crc error occured in...) Gosh. i really have no clue what to do next... Has anybody an idea? (For now, i will start banging my head on the table 'til either there's no table left to bang my head onto or a solution for this little annoying problem pops in my head at random)_O: Regards, Arkady P.S.: my very excuses for my bad english...
I have a prob the lord of darkness on fire node.. when I am fighting him when go to strike the final blow the game boots out and I get windows message saying the game has incountered a problem..any Idea why and or is there a patch that fixes this that wasn't in the 4.0.0 upgrade thanks..
CTD upon the death of the Balor is a known bug, and as yet we do not have a fix for it (though we are working on it). Our usual advice is to keep trying. Most people finally do manage to kill the Balor without a CTD. It has been reported that the CTD does not occur if another Balor is present, so if you can get the first one to summon a second one, you should be able to kill the first one without the CTD. The second one disappears when the summon duration runs out. Of course, doing this means you have to fight two Balors at the same time.
I reported that, with regard to the CTD my Balor-based daemon was having: it didn't occur once with another Balor on the screen. Since Cujo fixed that problem, I would have to say it has nothing to do with it and was a coincidence.
If the problem is not the grey (dying) picture for the Balor, then it could just be that the game is using all of your available memory for keeping the fire node running (I am working on reducing the lag - which should also help releive overworked memory) so when the Balor explodes more memory needs to be used for the explosion animation (and voerworked memory just bugs out and causes CTD's). I don't claim this is the "cure" for the Balor death CTD, just speculation as to why this may be happening.
The clear cache option, deletes the map cache before starting the game. Generally it is recomended after adding a new patch to an existing module.
Hm, I just wanna ask if some1 (who has already the no-cd crack) doesn't mind sending it via e-mail to me? If there's the slight chance of somebody agreeing to this i will send my e-mail address via pm to this user... or are there any inconveniences or is this even prohibited on this forum? Regards, Arkady P.S.: Is there any existing complete bug list for all occuring/known issues in ToEE ? Thanks in advance
Is link removed by board administrator not working? If your still having trouble PM me the e-mail address, I'll send iit to you.
i don't get how to get the no-cd crack to work. it says to replace the toee exe with the file archive.
Go to your ToEE directory, should be C:\Program Files\Atari\ToEE\ Rename ToEE.exe to ToEE.bak Extract ToEE.exe from the archive you downloaded, and place it in the ToEE directory. If you don't see file extensions (exe bak), in My Computer go to the Tools dropdown menu and select Folder Options. Click on the View tab and uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types. Cuchulainn.
A .rar file is like a .zip file, you need a .rar extractor to get the .exe file. Just google rar extractor and pick a program to extract the exe from the archive.
at the begining of this after you visit the 3 merchants and buy what you want how do you leave and move on?
