movie problems? workaround and probable cause-by aliou

I posted some time ago that the movies won't play or play like a slide show with both
sound and image badly corrupted or black.
allyx prompted me to download rad tools to check the movies so i did
Rad played the movies fine, although not fullscreen but in a small window.
Besides that everything seems fine.
I can think only of one possible cause: maybe has to do with the requirement for the
disk to be inserted in drive.
Some people also complaint about problems with the copy protection.
I'll try to use the no-cd patch-in correct patching order-patch and I'll come back to report what happened

IF YOU have the same problem just by-pass the movie with the num-keypad ENTER
and download rad tools so you can see the video (all the videos actually if you want...)

Skipping Movies

I had to Disable the intro movie with Co8 4.0.0. Otherwise, the first in-game movie would play for about 1 second ( Neutral-Good ) and then POOF! PC would Reboot itself. I may need to skip all in-game movies.

num-keypad ENTER, I haven't tried that.
Does the Escape key work the same ?

Not for me, ONLY numpad-enter works...

And is probably especially usefull to those who (like me...) don't use the frontend
to run the Co8
front end needs net 1.1 or net 2.0 which needs windows update SP2.
I don't use internet- not with that PC- and i'm afraid of SP2

Get rad, see all the movies, can't be that bad.
Maybe a bit of a strange feeling to see the movies without playing the story
and play the story without seeing the movies
and don't know what movie you should see and where
and knowing things you shouldn't know for the time being
but it's not bad!
Instead of being the hero you are something like the...storyteller!!
I'm not joking!
