My computer is ok for the game, tough to configure at stat but I just built it and it awesome.
    It has a DFI motherboard
    1024 RAM
Two SLI PCI-Express 6800 video cards
    600 watt power supply
280 gigs on the Hard Drive
    Sufficient duel layer DVD rom
    AMD 4000 64bit CPU
    19 inch flat panel monitor

So it installed ok but when I try start a game the screen is blank for a split second then nothing, just desk top. I posted @ Banshee but nothing then here, Ihope to get a resolution soon enough though. I have a fire wall that is mighty but I don't think that is it becasue I enabled it there and turned it off and still nothing. I also installed Doom 3 the day before and it runs awesome, so in fact ir is scarry, really. And without having to adjust the firewall.

Here is my post from Game Banshee I was told to download the 1.2 patch then the atari patch2 then temple.zip.

'OK I tried the temple.zip but I cannot read the read me? How does one such as I install it.
    I added the 1.2
Then added the atari patch 2

Did you know there at the web site of Atari there is a
patch 1, patch 2, patch 3. I as was mentioned chooce patch 2. I hope this all the right stuff. Also the first time I downloaded it was from the other site and it did not install the second time I got the right one from the download and at first it said file already exist and not installed but then it di install and said successfully installed.

So no temple.zip yet. Still as of yet the game does not load and checked the screen resolution and such and still no luck. Also I just put Doom 3 on the day before with full graphics and the game screams.
Alsmost a cry baby but at least I have something to do. Help!!'
    Thanks

Now that we're in the right place, have you tried to search for an answer? The folks here will help you, all the better if you try to do some things to help yourself. State your problems clearly...with as much detail as possible; and not sounding too awfully drunk or high is good, too.

    :drunk:

For that, post in the beer - beer - beer thread.

    :D

Instead of using the Temple.zip, you really should be using Atari Patch 2 and Co8 patch 4.0, which includes the updated temple.dll and a bunch of other bug fixes, major AI improvements and some new content.

So what is the difference of atari patch2 and atari patch3?
    What is Co8 4.0?

and anyway is installing patchs known to fix startup issues, and yes I will try a thread search and thanks for the silence in stone and the invite to beer.

Check out the "Common Issues and Solutions" thread, and also krunch's "Hardware Recommendations" one. You might glean some useful info there.
