Well its been pretty quiet on the musical front since Drifter left ("f^%$ you bumbaclots, f*&$ you!!!!") but its 3am on a Fri night (if u take my meaning), I'm listening to Neil's Year of the Horse, MiRCing to Allyx and well on the way to being tanked so its the perfect time to ask, if you could recommend ONE album for every person to go out and buy, what would it be? Under the circumstances, I'll say Neil Young's Zuma.
Metalica - the black album. Superb stuff - bit dated now, but a lot better than their recent music.
My Pixies and Clash collection see me through any situation. As does my collection of Adriana Lima pics.. erm, yeah, moving on.. Album to go and buy? From a Basement on the Hill by Elliot Smith (released after his suicide) as I doubt anyone does not have the Pixies or the Clash in their collections already.
well it seems that I can live without a lot of what I thought I couldn't live without after about $1000 of my CDs were stolen. so I'm left with velvet revolver and the deftones oh and a robbie williams CD elvicthr
i've been listening to the vanishing's "still lifes are failing", neurosis' "enemy of the sun", loss' "i kill everything" and tricky's "nearly god" a lot lately. also venetian snares "winter in the belly of the snake"
Can't do just one... Dark side of the Moon Physical Graffiti There are others, but in a pinch, these'd get me by.
Music you can't live without?? There are some... but I just can't choose between Led, Pink and Doors, so next clear choise will be... Powerslave and The Number Of The Beast the greatest, the only one Iron Maiden
Just one? How do you choose? Okay how about something good probably everyone does not already have? (And the candidates go into the hat, the mersenne(sp?) twister is applied and....) The winner is: Frank Zappa- Jazz from Hell. Darmagon
I'm gonna have to agree with Allyx and go with Metallica, except I'd choose Master of Puppets. If not, then my second choice would be Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory.
Just one CD? Impossible. One band then? Next to impossible. I mean, there are always the classics like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, early Metallica (everything after the black album is trash, not thrash) and a bunch of others, but then there are so many other, newer bands, that it's impossible to choose. But Bill Hicks - Arizona Bay is pretty funny.
