Hey all...how do I drop items from NPC's I've picked up? They're ALL overloaded from the crap they've looted from bodies... Also...is there any way to get some of the items they've snached up? Thoughts? Thanks!!!
If you are playing with Co8 v4 then you have the option of selecting 'humble NPCs' when you start a game or you can use Livonya's dialogue trickery by speacking to the NPCs in order to try to manage what the NPCs are doing.
Thanks for the info...I loaded the Co8 mod, but haven't run it, since I'd have to start my game all over. Is there a way to drop items with the original game mods? cheers.
Without that patch, playing with any NPC but Elmo is just too annoying. Only thing you can really do is take them to a shop so they sell their stuff, and then load them up with little nothing items like gloves and such, so they have no room to loot anything heavy. Course, once you go to a shop again, they'll sell all that, so you've gotta make them drop it every time. Ridiculously annoying. I never touched NPCs till Drifter answered my prayers. Way to go Big D!
You can load npc's up with the letters, maps, and diarys you find along with temple quest items and clubs. The shops will not buy these items. Plus sepparating their coinage into four piles fill up slots as well.
KILL THEM< KILL THEM ALL! Really, just kick them out of the group in deklo woods, and kill them for loot and XP... a first level party has much to gain from doing elmo in that way...
the problem i've had with just filling up NPC inventory slots with garbage is that when they then try to pick up items but are unable to, it seems to get tagged as "theirs" anyway, and the next PC to pick the item gets stuck with it, and is unable to remove/sell it. This isn't a problem with money of course, as that just gets piled into your money pool automatically, but with any other item that can be picked up by NPCs, it is. At least it was pre-4.0.0 sans drifter's humble NPC patch.
I have a party of 6+ level chars I made BEFORE the new patches. Once I install them, will I have to start all over, or can I apply the "humble" patch and just pick up where I left off? (I put a LOT of time into this campaign so far...) Thanks!
