I can't access the world map! It's the map where you stumble across a dying lady calling for Peter. I found the so called files that were supposed to fix this...followed the instructions...no luck! So I have to start over? And to avoid this next time I need to kill the gnolls instead of buying them off? Are there any more suprises further on? I could swear I made it to Nulb last night ( after the moathouse) without running into that stupid caravan ( sorry I'm a little miffed) But today every time I leave Hommlet ..all I run into is that caravan map! So if I start over...whack the gnolls...will there be any more "mishaps" I need to know about? I don't really feel like starting over!!! Bummed.......
Console yourself to Homlet next time. If the fix isn't working, then I'm wondering whether you've installed it properly (to the right module?) as it works fine for me.
The fix adds a new npc to the area who was a short but clever dialogue and will "know" all the area's you have been told about and facilitate your travel. Did you try exploring the area (it is only a small area)? You may have to try a save from before you got stuck on the caravan map with the fix, but it should prevent you from getting stuck again.
Actually I was able to use the "temporary fix" ( where you get teleporated to Hommlet) Thanks I was kinda freaking...!!!
There's a list of common problems stickied at the top of the forum. Open it and scroll down to "Stuck at caravan!" and follow the links and instructions. My game ( after installing that ..I think?) began to crash so much I had to re-install.
