Re: ToEE Front-End v3.3a UPDATE (14 NOV 2005): Uploaded ToEEFE 3.5 Professional Edition. This version automatically disables the auto-save on map change every time the game is launched, to prevent certain bugs and side effects in custom mods; also, its code is more optimized and has extra internal functionality to ensure the correct work of the program. Enjoy! - Agetian
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.5 Hi I've encountered a couple of errors. When I first downloaded FE 3.5 with Co8 4.0 mod, I receive an error message stating the some files were being used by another program, but I was still able to start the game. However, the game crash and exited when I chose a party alignment. When I tried to open the game again I received two error messages reading as follows: 1. 0013: Error: One of the game folders can't be accessed! Make sure that no other application uses any of the game folders, then try again. 2. 0014: Error: One of the game folders can't be accessed! Make sure that no other application uses any of the game folders, then try again. Any ideas how I can work around this? Thanks in advance!
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.5 Easiest way - reinstall the whole thing - make sure you don't start the game while the root directory is open. That happens to me sometimes too.
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.5 If I'm starting the front end from desktop shortcut and nothing else is open, how can I tell if the root directory is open?
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.5 Oh! I just thought of something! In the Temple of Elemental Evil folder I have three data folders one that reads "Data", one that reads "Data.Co8-4.0.0", and one that reads "Data-ToEE". Could that be causing my problem? Thanks!
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.5 Open your modules folder, which .dat files do you have IE ToEE.dat, Co8-4.0.0.dat... is there another one there? If so what? If not you shouldn't have 3 data files and something has gone very wrong (do a full uninstall/reinstall - to fix it).
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.51 UPDATE (27 NOV 2005): Uploaded ToEEFE 3.51 Professional Edition. This edition allows a module to use a custom DAT file (modules/mod_name.dat) which may come in handy for KotB or other possible future mods. ToEEFE 3.51 will not allow to deactivate modules that use customized module DAT files. To give more of an explanation, if someone would want to repackage the module-based file (e.g. ToEE.dat) and create a custom one, it is now possible. ToEEFE will try to predict customized module data files and will not allow the end-user to ruin such a module by deactivating it (e.g. deleting a custom data file). Enjoy! - Agetian
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.51 <sigh> Agetian, don't you get tired of reading my mind??? I didn't even get around to asking for this!!
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.51 This is just sweet. Been away a while and come back to this superb version of the front end and a new Co8 mod version. Much happiness. Thank you. :Crazy_Tig
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.51 Welcome back, Zebedee! I'm really glad that you enjoyed the revamped version of the front-end and the new Co8 mod. Take your time, look around - there is a variety of new stuff available, including some post-Co8 4.0.0 fixes (the latest ToEEFE is also a post-Co8 4.0.0 edition) - Agetian
Re: ToEE Front-End v3.51 Thanks guys. Work sucks :stoned: It's just amazing what you and the rest of the modders have achieved. Kudos! Just got a perfect install first time of asking on a clean computer. What else can you ask for? Well, ok, lLivonya being well and posting something but apart from that.. Will find the right thread to praise the v4 after I've logged a few more hours playing, but just wanted to express appreciation for the front end first.
