    Hate to come back with another problem, but here goes:

    My Sorcerer can now cast 511 Magic Missiles. What's up with that, and how do I fix it?

    Do a search consisting of the entire Temple of Elemental Evil forums and search for

    511 Magic Missiles

    of which should find the fix, as I recall.

    Thanks. Also, how do I set it so that the Cloaks of Elvenkind are green, again? I've noticed that they're black, now, and I'm hoping that that's an error that can be corrected.

    EDIT: I did a search, and everything I found said I had to download moebius.dll. However, I couldn't find a link to it ANYWHERE. So anyone know where I can go to download it?

    @ green knight, You ARE using the Co8 4.0.0 patch aren't you? Because it sounds like your game is still playing the patch 2 version. If you installed the toffee version you need to open temple of elemental evil frontend (ToEEFE) and select Co8 4.0.0. in the installed modules list (save the settings to make it the default option) and launch the game.

    moebius2778's temple.dll fix is already included in Co8 4.0.0.

    As for the Cloaks of Elvenkind, you are right. They are black in Co8 4.0.0. I thought we had changed them to green. Cujo, didn't you change them to green?

    wasn't me, but its a simple protos fix and nothing from stoping the cloaks from being black and green but only one would be accesable without console. why does everyone PM me at the same time...

    Yeah, I'm using Co8 4.0.0. I click on the ToEE Front End icon and I select "Co8-4.0.0". How I got my awesome Masterwork Full Plate from Brother Smyth.

    So I reinstall 4.0.0, then?

    If you do reinstall 4.0.0, remember to deactivate the mod first. There is a button in Toffee to do this. But before you do that, do this for me first. Go to your ToEE root directory, then go to data/rules/spells/magic missle.txt. What value do you see next to max targets? It should be -511. Let me know what value you have there.

    There was a design decision made to make the cloaks black, since rogues creeping around in black stuff made more sense than in green, and they match the black boots n gloves better. Not my call btw, but it was a popular decision.

    Why do Cloaks of Elvenkind have to be green? Yah, green was the default color. Are elves fond of green? What difference does the color make, anyway? Maybe if you were talking about woodland elves, sure - their cloaks would probably tend to be some shade of green or brown. Elven royalty would wear some form of purple color elven magic cloak and the other different classes [and subraces] of elves wear different colors of magic elven cloaks, too. I recall the elves of whom arrived at Helms Deep to wage war were not wearing green cloaks, either - at least in the LoTR movie. Personally [IMO], I would like to think the particular color used for elven cloaks is not an issue for the Co8 4 MOD.

    After looking at my DMG, they shouldn't be green or black. They should be grey. They're described as "cloaks of neutral grey". So scratch the green cloaks thing. They ought to be grey. After all, this is a D&D game, after all.

    I don't know what to tell you. Sometimes the game doesn't seem to let our fixes override the original bugs. You could try starting a new game to test if it still happens. If it does, you will have to reinstall 4.0.0. Remember to deactivate the module before you unistall it. I suspect you will have to delete your saved games as well, but try them with the new install before you do. You may get lucky.

    about the cloaks - I thought that they would take on the colours of their suroundings thats why they make hiding easyer when wearing one - green is just a good forest colour, but in a temple dungon... maybe they should be red in the fire temple but thats not going to happen.

    Ahh well Cujo, looks like we need a grey cloak model then (and some non-magical grey & blue cloaks wouldn't hurt either)!

    ok, need to know if anyone else with windows xp-media edition is haveing the same trouble.
    1 installed the game
    2 ran patch #1
    3 ran patch #2
    4 ran c08 4 patch
    5 created desktop launch icon for front-end loader
    6 ran the loader got :
    Templefrontend.exe - Fatal Error
    CLR Error :80004005
    the program will now terminate

    anyone have a work around for this ?
