I noticed there were some Terjon dialogue problems in the forums, but I didn't see any of them specifically like this. I've got a party of 5 PC's, only about level 8 or 7 each. I killed the Hezrou Guardian in the water node, and got royally screwed up in the process. Went back to town to have the usual healing session, talked to Terjon, and asked him for healing. The raise dead dialogue option is no longer there, and if I tell him that I need serious healing, the only dialogue option I get is 'Actually, I have some other questions'. I don't have a Paladin, so the level 10+ issue that I read about shouldn't apply here. Calmert still performs light heals, and Jaroo still functions. Terjon just seems to be broken. Anybody who knows what the problem is, I'd love to know the answer because nothing seems to have changed to make him act this way. Thanks in advance! PS -- I'm completely roaming around the greater temple and the elemental nodes with no clue what I'm doing.... did I forget to talk to somebody who tells me what my goal should be or what I should be looking for? I don't mind random slaughtering, but I'm lost.
Can't say I've ever had that problem - I always use Jaroo to resurrect me - He's cheeper than Terjon and luckilly Reincarnation (due to the fact that randomly assigning a new race is difficult) is exactly the same as ressurection anyway! [EDIT] Thinking about it, Terjon changes his prices according to which quests you've completed - and level 11 + paladins can no longer recieve attonement, isn't this the reason it doesn't work?
I actually had not noticed any changes in prices no matter what quests I've completed. The only time he changed his prices was after I completed the quests for him (Finding his artifact in the field, etc...) and that made them FAR cheaper than Jaroo. Jaroo is jacking me for 350 gold every serious heal and I think I was paying 80 or 90 with Terjon before he dropped me like a bad habit. I looked at the level issue that people on the forum seem to have with 11+ Paladins, but I don't think that's it because I don't have a paladin, and my characters haven't reached level 10 yet. Just a thoroughly confusing problem that's costing me buttloads more gold when I want a good heal. Although it's starting to not matter since now I'm able to summon some Hezrou demons and through some other design flaw in the game they aren't disappearing after five rounds. They've been roaming with me for days now. Eventually I'll have gathered enough of them that I could probably walk around the world with minimal hit points and not worry. Oh well... another bug that's destroying what would have been the best PC RPG I've played.
Well as time is a non-issue in this game, just rest in the Inn of the welcome wench until healed? Much cheaper than both Jaroo and Terjon (especially if you've already caught Furnok cheating!).
