allyx has made his white dragon, now with the success I've had in the new skins for monsters, does any one want dragons of other colours and if so what colour?

Yeah the chromatic (red, white, blue, black and green) dragons are so much more fun than the metalic (gold, silver, bronze, copper and brass) ones, but if you want to do them all...

@ Cujo: Sure, different dragon colors would be nice. I thought about changing the lizard's skin myself some time ago - didn't have time to try it though. So, go for it - it'll be a really nice addition, especially when we move to the higher levels. :)

(and, anyway, we can also create wyrmlings for lower levels using the scale option)

Thinking of which, did you know that the icey breath weapon spell (that Darmagon wrote for the white dragon) can be adjusted in protos.tab? The spell level used dictates the strength of the breath weapon (range 1-6).

I'll leave the breath weapons to others, I thought dragons breathed fire untill I read some dragon lance stuff. I don't know what breath goes with what colour.

Everybody who likes Dungeons & Dragons should like the idea at some point of fighting at least one dragon with their favorite characters.

The idea of fighting a dragon is like reaching a pinnacle when playing D&D, "One day when my party of characters are powerful enough, my party as triumphant heros will slay that old dragon who eats passersby, those who try to kill it, and, also sadly, young virgin gals from neighboring locales once each year.".

well said krunch and very true especially with the newewr dragon rules (newer meaning since 76..) where dragons can use tails wings.. reasonable hd etc....

hmm id love the gem and chromatic dragons.. with the approraite breath weapons /spells etc....

how hard would it be to modify the icy breath weapon used for white dragons to fire.. or lightinging???etc
for use with the other dragons?'

would it be possible to adapt a copy of the ogre caves to a dragon den somehow? travel there by scripting a dialogue with an npc, and have the dragon + hoard inside... would be very cool :)

There was a time I was considering doing that exact thing (among others). I made maps for Verbobonc including an underdark section which ultimately lead there (wyrmlings in the cave, and mommy outside - preparing "dinner").

    Breath weapons:

Red = Fire (Draco Conflagratio Horriblis)
    Blue = Lightning (Draco Electricus)
Green = Chlorine Gas (Draco Chlorinous Nauseus Respiratorus)
White = Frost (Draco Rigidus Frigidus)
Black = Acid (Draco Causticus Sputem)

If you really want a challenge, take a 5 headed Hydra & add wings - size it up a good bit; color each head as per above, blending to a solid body color of muddy brown above & greenish white below. Add the powers of a minor deity...Her name is Tiamat. I shudder to think what she might bring to this game. And she never goes anywhere without her huge, ancient male consorts...all 5 of them.
