Hi everyone, I purchased the game when it came out with big hopes for the hardcore mode of the game. Needless to say, with all the bugs in the game, I gave up on the game utterly frustrated after the first 3 weeks of release. Just this week I decided I was ready to give this game a shot again since I heard there had been several patches out, and I am taking a break from my usual MMO grind. So I have a couple of questions. 1) Does the C8 mod allow for Hardcore play? 2) Am I kidding myself thinking this game is beatable in hardcore mode? When I say beatbale I mean, no backing up the save folder. Anyone know of any issues why I should not play the hardcore mode? Like a bad bug that will mess me up at some point if in Hardcore mode? I would not recommend playing under Ironman. The game is more stable now, but whacky things still happen. You can do what I do, save the game periodically but NO reloading for any reason other than bugs/CTD. I don't even allow myself to raise slain characters, and allow my crafters/scroll scribes to make only 1 item each time they level. Use point buy characters. This definately puts some challenge back into the game, but it is still easily beatable. About the only place I lose characters, barring the random critical hit from a Giant or Ogre, is the water node (eyes of deep usually take out 1) and the Guardian Balor (2 or 3).
