Thieves pickpocket guide to TOEE

No, what do they say? btw these pants of hold are great I can fit the whole lot in here, now are you going to try to pick my pocket or what?

 

Hmmm. You know I never bothered to check if there was anything stuffed inside those chain boots or not.

Then again, maybe it's better that I didn't.

 

He only does that 'cause he doesn't like rigid codpieces, and he felt like he needed some protection...

 

No way with Burne (and others)

Hi all,

I'm trying to pick-pocket Burne and others NPC but (even if the roll is succesfull) I get nothing, no money and no items at all.

I'm playing with CO8 and Lyvonia Mods installed, is this the cause or I've a problem with my installation?

When you have a success but no items in the inventory, check your 4 money fields to see if you got cash instead.

If the reward is set to random treasure then it is possible to get nothing, I suppose.
Otherwise, I have no idea why you would get nothing.

 

As I said in my previous post I get no items and no money.

 

I know that some items, which are already using by NPC, can be stolen:

From Turuko - his asian hat (asian hat are "always-stolenable", I think - because when I enter to the Inn in Nulb, this thieft-wrench is always pickpocketing my asian hat from had of my team monk...)

also chain gloves and chain helmet are the same like asian hat. Just go to Otis (or somebody else, who is wearing those items), steal from him all his normal inventory - and keep pickpocketing him again, and again - after some time, his helmet and gloves are dissapear - and apear in your thief inventory

And btw - Otis equipment is regenerating - after some time, when you leave and come back to Nulb - Otis has new chain helmet on his head, and new gloves on his hand (well, he is a smith - isn't he? :grin: ) - they can be stolen again

and again, and again, and again... :doublethu

 

...and what are yours thief "sleight of hand" skill level and dexterity?

I don't know exactly what it is depend on - but not always, when pickpocket test is succesful - items from inv are stealing - on the lowel levels I have to try many time, before my thief steal something from NPCs

 

I can confirm that this is not the case. Just last nnight, one of the NPC's in my party was slowed down by Medium encumbrance, and refused to drop the heavy piece of armor she'd looted off some stiff somewhere. I tried to pickpocket the thing off her, and managed to get everything she had at least once (except that one heavy thing) -- including the leather armor, Gloves of Dexterity, and rapier that she had equipped.

 

I stole clamerts plate armour off him gave it to my fighter, came back a few game weeks later and he had a new set so I stole that as well for my Cleric.

 

yeah so I could steal it and sell it to the smith down the road and the circle of life is compleate....

 

Well your right, I was mistaken. I just stole Meleny's thong...while she was wearing it

 

Get this --

I walk into the Inn in Nulb.

My female monk gets pickpocketed.

...

Her corset gets stolen right off her partially nude body.

Dala then hesitates...

...then puts it on automatically.

AND my party STILL didn't notice that they got picked!
