Just playing the role game and acting as a true natural i made someone in hommelet a begger and i dont want it to affect the ongoing adventures and talking with people in town. Is there a way deleting that reputation about being a begger maker?
That reputation does not have a great impact on the game as far as I know. Actually i become a triple Beggar Maker with my Lawful Evil party and everybody in Hommlet loves me anyway
As far as I know nobody has developed a stable saved game editor for ToEE. It is possible to change reputations in the console, though I can't remeber the command. Try a search for "reputation". I know it is here somewhere.
I'm pretty sure there's a way to rid yourself of this reputation using the console... {shift~} I myself do not know what you need to type, however... :scratchhe
Thats a pretty rare game you got there, beggaring people, I'd go with it... afaik, the only down-side is in what people say when you first talk to them, they might mouth off, much the same as if u start chatting to them nekked. But alas, as with much of the ToEE dialogue, there is no depth there, once you get past that they will treat you just the same. (Reminds me of the time I cursed Terjon, 'by the staff of Nerull I will not help you!', he got mad and told me to get out of his church. So i clicked on him again and i get this angry 'what do you want now?' 'Some more questions?' says I, and he was right back into the normal dialogue stream. No depth there, alas.) Just looked into the nitty-gritty of it, I am preeeetty sure you have to beggar 3 people to get the 'beggarerer' reputation, so don't sweat it. If in doubt, check your reputations thing in the logbook.
Have you tried... Console (Shift+~) Command: game.party[0].reputation_add( # ) You'll have to look in the game files and find the value for the reputation you want. Then replace "#" above with it. I am not sure where to find that info... might be a .dat, .tab, or .mes but I'm at work so I can't check it for you right now. Also, depending on how the reputation system works (I haven't tinkered with it... yet), you may need to find a reputation_remove() command to get rid of the "beggarer" rep you've already got before you upgrade to something nicer. ~daetar edit: added clarification
Thanks for clarifying that Pharaun. Try 'gamereplog.mes', that says the beggar maker rep is number 5 (though in the game it might be number 4 counting from 0).
