You need to extract the .DAT files first. Use the ToEE DAT Unpacker (downloadable in a sticky thread about released modding tools here in General Modification).
Please read the ToEEWB installation manual and tutorials before trying your hand at it (especially if it's the first time you try modding).
I hope you enjoy the tool!

To extact the DATs, drag and drop each DAT onto the unpacker exe. They will then extact to a new folder.

you need to extract the extracter from the rar first, the rar is like a zip file

i can figure this out. when i try to extract the extracter from the rar file
is does nothing i extracted to toeextract

I know this is basic but i feel if i can get over the hump i can add to this
    forum with my mod

ps anyone want to upload to me the extracted files ? :nervous:

Try this program, it can extract RAR files:
    http://www.powerarchiver.com/

There's a free trial available. After you extract the extractor from the RAR file, drag and drop the DAT files onto the extractor icon (as was suggested before).
    Hope this helps.

Khalamar, I assure you EVERY SINGLE PERSON who ever downloaded the Dat extractor went through what you are going through. A 20 byte wtf.txt file would have done wonders in that rar.

When you have extracted the rar, take your .dat file (ToEE1.dat or whatever) and drag it over the ToeExtractor.exe and 'drop' it in. Then let the fun begin!

Once again, please be more specific about it. What step are you at? What have you done so far? Heavydan has a similar problem reported in the official ToEEWB thread, you should check it out. Also, a tutorial supplement will be available quite soon that will contain everything prepared and set well until step 23 (end of part 2).
