I cast Sphere of Invisibility on my party and now they can't regain visibility. I cast it before they entered the TOEE. My rogue and wizard sneaked around and collected loot, and then my party left the Temple. I've tried casting Purge Invisibility and Dispel Magic to no effect. I've fought a number of random encounters and I've engaged battle back inside the Temple. Enemies attack my party members after my party attacks, but I still can't see any of my party. They seem to be getting defense bonuses of invisibility, and they cannot talk to some shopkeepers, who comment about seeing ghosts or hearing voices. For now I've reloaded a save from before I cast the spell, but I'm afraid to cast it again until I understand what happened.
SOmetimes spells become permanent. If you have Livonya's mod, go pay a visit to Jaroo. If not, do a search for spell permanency (permanancy? sorry it's late/early in UK and I can't spell) on the forum. As I noted, I've been replaying a save from before I cast the Sphere of Invisibility spell. I've since cast it again, with different results. That is, party members become visible once they move out of the sphere's perimeter. I think that's the way it's supposed to be. What happened with the permanency bug I ran into was that my party remained visible after exitting the sphere's perimeter, and then I could not get them to regain visibility. So I'm going to continue playing as I have and not worry about visiting Jaroo or entering a console command. Thank you for the reply. :doublethu
The same thing happened to me except only to my sorceror and my druid, Meleny. The rest of my party turned back to normal. I had to talk to Jaroo to remove the spell permanency problem, only thing is, while the permanent invisibilty was removed, my two characters still "looked" invisible. After several hours of playing it eventually wore off my sorceror but to this day, Meleny still appears transparent. She's not invisible though...either way, I'm not trying that spell again.
