It's me again; frustrated as usual.

My new beef is something I've seen before, but now that I'm (thinking about) fighting Zugg-fooey (whatever that #@%!$ 's name is), it's a real pain.

Have you ever noticed how if a team member becomes charmed, all of the other party members ATTACK that person? It's like some twisted reversed version of what it should means to be charmed. I've seen an uncharmed PC automatically make a CLEAVE and AOO's against charmed characters. That's just simply wrong.
The party's not charmed, just that one character!

Also, can some one explain to me what Calm Emotions is supposed to do? When I play PnP DnD, I would expect that fearful people or confused people, as well as raging people, would lose their fear, confusion, or rage. But, it doesn't seem to work that way. DnD allows for party members to willingly NOT save against magical effects. And, yet, this game doesn't seem to bother. When the party is confused or fearful, they are still allowed a save against Calm Emotions. Neither casting Calm Emotions works before a fight that I know will confuse or scare my party (because most save against the preventative measure, but fail against the attack), nor does it seem to work when they are actively frightened or confused.

Furthermore, has anyone ever actually usefully Dispelled any magic? It also seems like a crock in this game. Cancells on going magical effects my foot! Does nothing, with no idication of failure or success.

Lastly, how pointless is Restoration scrolls and wands? I scribed one or two of them and found they were set on the default, to restore STR! To be fair, I think I've seen it work properly, restoring what was actually wrong, but the whole thing has left me feeling like if I need to Restore some ability loss, I better cast it from my Cleric's memory--where I can choose the damage to fix myself--instead of from a scroll.

Now, I have a feeling I'm going to get responses like "Liv's Mod fixes this" or "None of this can be fixed without changing hard coded values." But, I'm frustrated none the less and who else am I going to tell?

    Thanks
    jason.

Yeah, but not if you play Ironman! ("Da Da Dada dum...")

Well, which I'm not... so good point.

Hey, does anybody else have an Entangle visual that follows the party to each new map? At least I'm not affected...

The restorators is a pain, but in my experience strength gets hit the worst.

And yes, Dispel Magic, I have found, is pretty damn useless.
