I occasionally get the encounter of the Nightwalker with the three invisible stalkers. A crew of level 12-13 characters and he still smites me easily. Looking up the creature details in the MM, seems like they have a dumptruck of hitpoints too, and I can only do middling damage before he wipes us out. Any tactics here? (Yeah like the Balor, I need some tactical pointers)
Making any creature fall down or become incapacitated helps. I once beat the Balor at level 3 since it rolled a natural 1 vs. soften earth and stone. That was an extreme case and an alleluia moment.
ironthunder horn has been useful to me. I don't remember but I think holy weapons may be useful as well.
Summoning a couple of BIG Elemental's to pound on it while using searing light and Holy ranged weapons does a very nice job.
