Hill Giant Heads

OK so early on the blacksmith demands a Hill Giant head before he will sell me Masterwork gear. So I get him one, and he now sells the upper tier gear. Great.

BUT, since I've been grinding XP on random path encounters, I'm starting to get a whole lot of hill giant heads. I started to stash them in my Nulb house chest, but I'm wondering if there's any point. They are heavy too (25lbs)... and nobody seems to want to buy them.

Are they just dead weight (pardon the pun) at this point and I should just dump them on random encounter screens to get rid of them?

 

I only recall needing 1 for the quest.

 

Hmm, once you give the blacksmith the head, and complete the quest "Masterwork Items", the heads should stop appearing in the dead giants. I'm not sure why they are still popping up.

Either way, I don't think there's any use for the extra giant heads after that quest. Unless you want to collect them, and display them in Hommlet outside the inn to scare the villagers, and show off your prowess.

 

give them to your CE followers. They may want them to soup.

 

I have like 30 of them. We could do one of those "hanging lights" things.
I am pretty sure that would stop any Hill Giants from coming anywhere near the town
