Got quite curious about this mod. Is there any chance watching a demo (or maybe:) someone posting a clip of his gaming experience?)

If you've got ToEE installed, Oleg, just have a play!

You won't regret it, the quality is just amazing. Take a STRONG party though.

You described it perfectly, the part I underlined above. That's exactly as it's intended. The quest is a character test given by Guildmaster Vendetta to feel out the moral compass "new arrivals". There's no right or wrong. The combat ambush is a secondary test, also set up by Vendetta, to gauge your combat strength.

Also, I've since expanded the final dialog for this quest, based on feedback a few weeks ago. So, in the next release, the ending dialog will now be a bit more involved and satisfying.

Again, this is more character analysis by Vendetta. But a bit deeper. What you're doing could be perceived as good OR evil depending on how you view the goblins' presence in the town. Will you refuse to do such a thing? Will you approach it like a noble crusade? Will you try to kindly drive them off without killing them, perhaps even spending your own gold? Will you just slaughter them carelessly? Or maybe you won't care at all.

If I ever officially release this, my top quote applauding the mod will be:

"This mod was so damn good, it forced me into a dopamine detox! - Shiningted"

Well, all I can say is that I don't like Vendetta and I don't like any of his quests.

And a while ago I did reload to an older save and I attempted the goblin quest.

    if i recall correctly:
I was able to bribe the one in the stable.

The other two I did not receive the option to bribe them.

    so I stopped it.

also, if i recall correctly, once i was told what it was I didn't have a dialog option to opt out.

I am in chapter 2 now and so I will not worry about trying to do this quest - at least it doesn't seem to be offered right now.

His new quest seems equally odd. Hard to gauge by his dialog if he is to be trusted.

I think that's the point, FDR, but I know what you mean ;)

Speaking of Vendetta, can I throw in a minor ToEE bug (not Paladin's Cove specifically) that impacts - the broken Paladin's Detect Evil. Can I suggest maybe introducing the fix from KotB, where the Palaidin gets a holy symbol that casts a fixed version of the spell? Even if it fizzles on certain major characters like Vendetta, its better than nothing happening.

Even his name is a big red flag.

Almost as bad as saying, "My name is Alucard. It's nice to meet you."

    Should Paladin's Cove have a separate (sub)forum?

    Thankee!

    Any pointers for Chapter 2?

I'm already stuck. I've done a few quests, but the others I'm just wandering around doing nothing to progress in them.

I am not a fan of the tougher battles, and I guess that they are made even more tough due to my level.

The newest temple+ (1.0.95) has my first attempt at temple+ and Paladin's cove compatibility. Let me know if anyone gives it a try.
