    Hi again. When I escort Sargem to Nulb, later his courier appears and starts dialogue. My only option is to say him goodbye. Checking 00183courier.dlg suggests me that something is messed up with flags. Any idea how to resolve it?

    Dialog files are pretty easy to modify, though it's been a while since I did any.

    I don't know much about deeper modding, so I'd like to kindly ask help for this problem.
    Sagren has this dialogue line:
    {60}{I will pay thee ten thousand gold pieces! Just free me from this place!}{I will pay thee ten thousand gold pieces! Just free me from this place!}{}{60}{}{game.global_flags[173] = 1}
    So the flag 173 is set to 1 ( = 10000 gold coins reward) if we accept to escort him out of the earth node.
    Later the courier dialogue has this line:
    {4}{I am @pcname@.}{}{8}{game.globals_flags[173] == 1}{20}{}
    So, if I'm correct, I could choose this dialogue option If the global flag #173 set to 1. But it should be that already since I accepted to escort Sagren. I also tried giving "game.global_flags[173] = 1" to the console right before the courier encounter but no difference.

    OK, I got it. The courier dialogue file is wrong, it has "game.globals" instead of "game.global".

    Wanted to ask if you were able to make modifications with August's instructions. I am trying to follow those but I think i am missing some vital information (as it doesn't work for me).

    The game doesn't recognize my 'overrides' file at all.

    Looks like this:
    C:\GOG Games\Temple of Elemental Evil\Overrides\BuffedRabbit Mods\rules\races

    I am using win10. I also tried this:
    C:\Users\BuffedRabbit\AppData\Local\TemplePlus\Overrides\BuffedRabbit Mods\rules\races

    Neither of those work for me :(

    I appreciate any help or tips :confused:

    The folder structure seems right.
    Just to be sure: did you put the mod_specs.json file in the BuffedRabbit Mods folder? (As opposed to inside races, for example)

    Also, does it display anything in the bottom right in the main menu? (Should see your folder name there)

    Yep, a txt file named: mod_specs.json . I also converted that txt file into a json (?) file, but still nothing.

    At the bottom right of the main menu is displaying the current Temple+ patch and if the application is updated. I can't see my name's folder.

    Regardless, thank you for helping me :confused:

    Edit: If I find a solution I will make a post.

    Do you have file extensions set to visible? Might it actually be mod_specs.json.txt?

    It worked! When I did the 'mod_specs.json.txt' thingy! The alterations on races appear to be working.

    Cool!

    For future reference - the error here appears to be the result of the instruction to create a "txt file" - be mindful that by default this creates a file with a .txt suffix, which will thus be ignored. The suffix must be changed to .json in this case.
