Cleric is the easy way for this as you can scribe cure light wound scrolls when going wizard, but I thought I'd mention that potions of heal do exist and other curing potions. So if you don't really want to waste a level for cleric...you can work around it. Potions in ToEE oddly enough can be applied by another character. And raise dead or reincarnate can be cast by a few npc shops. Also, you can engage a Npc temporarily to use the scrolls; seems normal RP to me.
Well I did a solo run human chaotic good cleric of pelor recently but then started a new playthrough solo, cleric of pelor to start but only to be able to use heal and then raise dead on the prince to get his sword and scather and dual wield them. 2 levels of fighter to get great cleave as soon as possible and then atleast 7 wizard levels. The cleric of pelor is helpful early on especially for solo play because of greater turning but yeah it's not totally necessary. I also can't craft theme really good cleric weapons but again the whole point of the build is to dual 2 of the best swords in the game
Heh, I guess RP is not a consideration for that game. But you can simply raise the prince in Homlett and irrc he will behave as expected when exiting the shop. You can also return to Homlett, engage Ronald? and then have him cast, then kick Ronald out before exiting.
Oh ok thanks. Well I don't really rp too much lol more like power gaming and focusing on combat. Thanks again for taking the time to respond
Also as a general question, heroism and good hope do not stack, correct? Quick edit, also keen edge and improved critical do not stack?
Basically, Like items/spells do not stack so bracers of armor do not stack with armor, rings of protection do not stack with armor enchantments (you get the best of the modifiers instead) Keen edge is just an enchantment version of improved critical. The Armor spell seems to stack with everything tho.
'Cat's Grace' and 'Gloves of Dex' are both enchantment effects, so they do not stuck. As a rule of thumb no effect from the same "source" stuck, according to the 3.5ed. 'Bull's Str' is an enchantment effect while 'Enlarge Person' is a size effect. Edit: An example is how the armor bonuses are calculated. There are natural, enchantment, armor (like a chestplate), shield, deflection, moral, dodge, parry, etc bonuses and sometimes the 'source' is not mention which (usually) means it stuck's with everything.
I had read scather was coded as a great sword originally but in co8 it is coded as a bastard sword, correct?
Dual wielding those on a high hit-point front liner is devastating. They work particularly well with low AC and damage reduction abilities/spells.
