Heya, Was looking for the way into the middle of Northern Oak Woods? There is a Harpy in there that I can hear but cannot find any way in. Thanks in advance.
Just keep exploring around the edges of the area you're trying to enter, and when your Line of Sight extends into the center, follow it in. If you're at the area I'm thinking of, the entry appears blocked by trees but they can be wiggled through in one spot.
Really? If that's true, it's a bug! @Duke - keep wandering the map until you find somewhere that looks like it might have a secret door (spoiler - Spoiler somewhere with man-made objects ), then use your Concetrated Search tool. The one you used to get off the starting map.
This is rather frustrating... I walked around the entire middle area as close as it would let me and searched with Tool and regular search about ever 15-20 feet. Still nothing!! Please...can you at least tell me where to look? East side, west, etc? Thanks in advance.
Sure. Spoiler time! Spoiler On the east side - after you have walked around, encountered the mad hermit etc - there are some pillars, and a single baby harpy. Both of those are meant to be indicators to search the area. Next to one of the pillars your concentrated search tool should find a ladder. The DC is not drastically high - 23 - and there is also an invivsible critter running Elf-auto-search there for memory.
It's probably not a bug, been a while since I played KotB so I'm probably thinking of something else entirely. [edit] - in fact, I KNOW I was thinking of something else. Thinking of the wrong woods, heh.
Thanks much. Finished the Harpy area. Went back to the Baliff and... nothing.. Honestly not sure what to do next. Will figure it out.
Duke, there is another NPC at the Keep who would be interested in your accomplishment. Hint: he only comes out at night ...
I'm not sure who gave you the location of the Woods (might have been a guy, might have been a girl) but go back and speak to them.
