I have been using a deep gnome thief who uses a rapier. I have now found out, that, while using a rapier, it cannot use the other hand for a dagger or other weapon. Given that the rapier is supposed to be a 1-handed weapon, this sounds like a serious error. Please fix this in the templeplus new patch. Thanks!

Is it a small sized rapier? I believe Gnomes and Halflings need both hands to use weapons that are one-handed for human size. There are several shops where you can purchase small size weapons (and armor).

Weapon sizing rules are more akin to D&D 3.0 or Neverwinter Nights.

Actually, 3.5E is very specific about weapon size, wielding and damage.

There are nine different weapon sizes.

From smallest to largest they are:

    1. Fine
    2. Diminutive
    3. Tiny
    4. Small
    5. Medium
    6. Large
    7. Huge
    8. Gargantuan
    9. Colossal

    Also, damage scales with size.
