Standard VS New Content (Differences)

Hello!
As the title says what are the differences?

Also two years ago or so i tried to play this game with The Circle of Eight modpack but every time my game would like, making summons not doing their actions, stack not moving etc.
What i was doing wrong?

Sorry i never played the original TOEE. Years ago when i played was still with The Circle of Eight modpack.
So basically New Content adds new what it says (new content).

the links for Patch 1 and Patch 2 dont work? is this only for me?
plz help!

 

Do you need the patches at all? If you have for example the GOG or the Anthology version of ToEE you don’t need those
