Generally mithral shirt is better for low-str characters (low weight), AC4 (base) +5 (enhancement) with 6 dex bonus (aka 16 base dex and gloves +6 dex, which fits here perfectly for +6 dex bonus, for total 15 AC bonus), no armor check penalty. We won't consider black elven chain here :)

Mithral Shirts arewhat I want but I can only find three. Smigmals two assassins and the assassin that the traders set on you. Does anyone know if there are more and who would have them?

I think that is all that have been added in the game, if you require more, open data /mes/description.mes with notepad, search for Mithral Chain Shirt, make a note of the number next to it. When in game open the console (shift ¬ or shift ~) and type 'give ####' and press return, where #### is the number for the Mithral shirt.

Ah Fong's Emporium in Nulb (the Asian-lookin' guy) has them for sale sometimes.

I'll probably pick up some moon-ivy armor while I'm there. Exotic things are expensive but then again everything is these days.

moon ivy and the other one he sells (1 armor no AC penalty) would be great if you could enchant them.

Agreed. It's a good mid-game armor but doesn't quite have the same pull as elven chain or mithral. Rumor has it that there used to be an enchantable version (masterwork ) version available.

when I first saw the moon ivy, I said to myself, "moon ivy, huh? So it's like a mithral shirt, for druids?" No enchantments though, and my druid's dex isn't that high. So I wound up keeping my studded leather around.

I wish my druid could wear royal armor. I wouldn't be casting spells or engaging in combat with it, but I use my druid as my party face.

It looks like masterwork std leather armour is the way to go for Druids unless he is a total clutz (no dex) then go to stone or dragonhide.

I went for studded leather or regular leather, as I tend to cross train tumble.

For a Druid I prefer Leather Scale, same AC, check penalty, and spell failure as studded Leather but with a higher Dex bonus max.
