Guys I have a problem.I was testing blackguard.I wanted to make a fallen paladin lev 11 into blackguard to have the max bonus(after changing alignment to evil via console commands of course) but I couldn't.I can't make the paladin "fallen". I robbed and killed but nothing :/
Guess you need your paladin to speak with Madame Ophelia in Nulb about her girls and thier services then.
Don't try too hard, I forgot to implement the fallen paladin bonuses I'll try to have that in place for next version. I could also change it so that you can just pick Blackguard and it'll automatically apply the fallen status so you don't have to jump through hoops. On that note, I somehow thought most people would use the blackguard with an evil party, looks like I was wrong hehe.
Ops I will wait for next version to test blackguard then. Sitra i consoled my evil fighter to lawful good, then took paladin levels because I wanted fallen paladin bonus. So yes,I want blackguard in evil party only.He makes no sense in good party
Is it known when archmage will come out? However ,thanks for all the work you have done and you are doing.
The Archmage probably won't be in this year. The current focus is on the AI (such as letting the AI actually use 5' steps to close small distances).
Has anyone any experience with Arcane Archer? I would like to have an improved archer thief. It sounds not bad from the description but I can't judge if by the time you meet the requirements the benefits (create +1 arrows on first lvl) might already be too weak. Because by that time you might have a+1 Bow anyway for example.
I did a little testing and i think its ok. But the ability to "shoot" a spell is nice, however i agree with you by the time you meet the requirements being able to shoot a burning hands spell or something 1st level or 2nd level doesnt do much. The plus 1 (and higher as you level) arrows are nice though. Probably a slow build but gets stronger at lvl 20?
The Arcane archer is best built with a fighter not a thief. After lvl3/4 it becomes a fairly strong class as the arrow enchantment grows leaving you more room on that +1 bow for other enchantments (holy, flaming, axiomatic etc) while having a high plus effective enchantment. The other abilities can be good as well.
Thanks for your replies. Maybe not the best choice for a thief. In general still a litte bit hesitant to use prestge classes at all.
