Fix for missing help.tab entries (potentially crash-inducing, so if users run into startup crashes they should be directed here until it's in an official release)

I am happy to report that I've added a proper expanded XP table up to level 20 in TemplePlus!

This renders the CR reduction technique obsolete - attached file comments it out. (note: it's good practice to disable instead of delete)

    Just two questions :
    1. What is random encounter tone down doing ? Up to now (party level 10) I had no challenging random encounter with COE 8.1.

    2. What is TemplePlus. Do I have to add another file if I want to use the CR disable hack file ?

    Thanks for the ongoing support.

Made some REs appear a bit later (higher part y level.

Temple Plus is a C++ project for extending ToEE with code hooks, see the Temple.dll thread.

Caught some protos.tab errors from the debug log, submitting ammended TAMs.

They're mostly items with fields that are not supported by the object type, like armor flags on a weapon.

    List of issues fixed:

4703 armor fields (not applicable to obj_t_weapon)
4704 armor fields (not applicable to obj_t_weapon)
4705 armor fields (not applicable to obj_t_weapon)

6268 not such property as "Martial Weapons Proficiency (x)", this will require a DLL hack
6347 no such Property as "Shield Masterwork", changed to Armor Masterwork

14570 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown

14651 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown
    14652 same
    14653 same

14687 Orb of the moons shouldn't have Item Weight

14702 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown
14717 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown
14720 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown
14722 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown

14725 Disable Devise instead of Disable Device
14735 Disable Devise instead of Disable Device
14740 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown

14742 used Unidentified Item instead of Critter Descr. If Unknown
    14900-14909 had item flags

I've submitted the wrong file for read magic - here's the right one.
Also fixed a wrong proto field in Robe of Eyes.

When I look at the 8.1.0 modpack it says it´s from August 2014.

Does that mean that none of the fixes in this thread is yet included in 8.1.0 and I would need to download each of them?

In which folder do those *.tam files belong?

You'll need ToEEPT for that, which I've attached. Backup your protos.tab of course. I'm reasonably sure this is publically available in the downloads section somewhere because I have pointed people to it before but right now I can't find it.

So is all this for folks playing the Co8 mod, or just for folks making their own mods to the Co8 mod?

These are preliminary fixes and mods for anyone to download and use. Eventually these fixes and mods will be examined and usually put into a future release by the Co8. For now, if you are interested enough, you can use them yourself for playing. Or you can just wait till they become official.

So how exactly do I use this fixes- download them to the ToEE game folder, unzip them and run them with another program or what?

As above, the tam files need the ToEEPT tool to incorporate into the protos.tab. Put the tool in the rules folder next to protos.tab, then navigate to the tam files and import them. Backup first, of course.

Thanks for the answer but you're talking brain surgery to a guy that only knows first aid- I think I'll just wait for it to be included in the next update to the modpack...:)
