On a recent visit to the Arena of Heros one of my PCs was charmed by one of the undead wizards. On the next turn the llama from the chid's toy figure charmed him back. After that he remained in the party but acted independently in combat. Which means it might be possible to make more independent npcs. Who make their own decisions in combat. I'm playing Wasteland 2 at the moment and there is a great feature when npcs go rogue.
Yeah, in WL2 you have to make sure you have adequate leadership or they may say no and do what they want. Fun game!
Did you get WL2 as a download from Steam or in a box store (I have real reservations about shopping online)? I ask because I'm having trouble finding it in a store, unless I want to special order it...
I bought through steam. I tend to get all my games through them or gog. shopping online should be fine as long as you use a credit card or psypal. If you buy it from steam it comes with w1 which I haven't played yet. W2 is great would have liked to set up squad positions like Toee but it has much the same feel.
If they include the hint book for WL1 in that read thru it just for the heck of it- they make mention of some of the other leading CRPG's of the day (and it's fun trying to figure out which ones they pay homage to w/o directly mentioning...).
