Anyone remember Dungeon Hack? Equip an Ioun Stone and throughout your little dungeon romp you'd have the bugger float through your field of vision. It was a lot better than Curse of the Azure Bonds where you could get some amazingly corrupt character sheets if you equipped more than one at a time, though. Chris, if you add Ioun Stones, will they take the place of hats? Or can they be set to not require a visible item slot? Just holding them in the inventory could cause problems if you've got more than one, so that might not be an option. Also, if the rules say you cant wear a hat or helmet with them, then just ignore me.
Er, okay, ignore that... my wakey-wakey dose hasn't kicked in yet. Just realized that you HAVE added Ioun Stones. There's a typo in the file name for Incandescent Blue, haven't checked description.mes yet. If Chris *isn't* a Troika employee, they may want to send him an application!
Holy freakin' crap. I'm downloading the addon right now. I can't wait to try out the Ioun Stones. How the HECK did you manage that anyway? Did you add new 'helmets' (with stats) into the game and use a particle effect which floats around the character's head instead of helmet texture? I'd figure that's how it's done.
I used the Thieves Tools slot, made the Ioun Stones in such a way that they would also act as tools for a Rogue, and changed the inventory background template to indicate that you could equip a stone in the lower-right corner of your "equipment grid" Chris Woods
Eep! Chris, before I test these out, will the Ioun Stones count as regular or masterwork thieves tools? And dare I assume we could impliment other wonderous items using the musical instrument slot?
The file reference is alright - it's also got the same typo. I think I'll try to make some pretty pictures for the ioun stones. Keyword here is: try No promises, but if I do, I'll release em today
Stones considered non-masterwork. Please do make some pretty pictures. My art skills are abysimal. Chris Woods
Could you add unique name to each release, it's hard figuring out what version of your fixes one has installed.
PIcked up the files again.. Sheesh.. Glad I can say that! As for those trying to be up to the minute with Chris W's updates, it's important that you look at the difference between the old version and the new version.. You Will have to delete any files that have been removed from the new version.. This got to be a real pain, and is why we moved over to an installer... Now, when a new version comes out you merely have to go into add/remove programs and uninstall it. then install the new one. BTW, GOing to start new build in a few moments.
Why is it that you used thief tools and made them into the stones? I'm sure i'm only missing this information from having not played beyond the moathouse... Does this stop thief tools from being in the game? I'm confuzed... :0
He did't replace the Thieve's Tools by Ioun Stone. He only made the Ioun Stones an object equippable in the Thieve's Tools slot (in order not to use things like neck or head slot). And to have a thief able to pick locks as he should, while having a Ioun Stone equipped, he added lockpick bonus to the Ioun Stones... Nice move, Chris btw
Great. I just finished some brand new spanking art for ChrisW's Ioun Stones. Get them here: http://greyhawk.lexx.eu.org/files/iounstoneart.zip Use them in the new build. P.s. the typo for "incadescent stone' is still there. I haven't fixed that. I don't want to mess up ChrisW's scripts.
