Hi ! I installed ToEE and Modpack 8.0.0 a few days ago. I had to modifiy the register ("language = 9") because I used a French version of TOEE. I followed the instructions and all went well ... until this morning. A CTD occured. Then I couldn't reload my save game. I rebooted, and launched the tutorial. From the tutorial, I eventually succeded into reloading my save game. The game went all right. I saved multiple times, loaded multiple times. Then, another CTD occured when I was looting bugbears of the temple of air (lvl 2). From this time, I have never been able to reload again, even a previous saved game (I always keep a list of a dozen). Here is what I tried - with no success halas : - set administrator rights to ToEE - set exception (ToEE.exe and temple.dll) on the antivirus - unset autoframe of the videocard - summoned Azatoth : said he was too busy to help such a pathetic mortal Two weird things : - the tutorial works perfectly (and I can save & load) - Since the first installation a few days ago, I have noticed a bug in the character creation screen. The stats (STR / DEX etc.) are not displayed on the roll dice window. Any ideas ? Did the module activate completely and successfully? I recommend re-activating the 8.0 module and reapplying the .01 patch again.
Hello sirchet, thanks for answering. I am quitte positive that the module activated correctly. However, I haven't patched anything yet (but the official atari patches 1 & 2 for ToEE). I will try the latest patch + reactivate and let you know.
Please remember to follow the instructions in the "Everything You Need To Know About TOEE" thread, it will save you loads of trouble. I hope to hear of your adventures soon.
A few hours after I posted this topic, my computer crashed completely. It is recovering ... slowly. I just reinstalled SP2 and I am now doing the billion of updates since 2010. Eventually I hope to reach some stability  ; then I shall install the patch and reactivate. Maybe my original bugs came from that.
Fenril, In the thread "Dividing Long Combats" you wrote: ---- ---- Are the saves you couldn't load derived from combat saves at some point? That could be your problem.
I thought about that of course. However, I always get 5 saving slot dedicated to "normal" save (as advised). One slot for "in fight" save ; one for "camp" ; one for "level up". I tried all those slots to reload, and none worked. However, I generaly got the beginning of the game, then after 1 second, CTD. So unless you tell me that saving in a battle may corrupt other slots that the "fight" save, I can not see the connexion.
