    NOT REPRODUCEABLE

The nice circlet has the wrong avatar animation (it looks like Antlers).

    Sigh...

Re Otello: did you perchance pass time on the Hommlet map (as in go out there by night and then pass time til it was day without a map transition?)

    Shiningted,

    no I did not.

I am playing the 8.0.0 version with the 8.0.1 addon patch plus Murlynd's fixes from this very thread.

Salk, please be warned that those fixes are not official. There could be unintended side-effects that have to be worked out. More testing is definitely needed! :eek:mg:
Otello might need a new career.

I don't know if you guys care about small things like typos but there were a few in the instructions in the installation window.

This is a small revision of the text:

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The Circle of Eight Modpack is compatible with all retail versions of ToEE, including the boxed, jewel case, Anthology, and Good Old Games download versions.

When prompted to choose an installation location, make sure to select the location where your game is installed. The default location as defined by the Circle of Eight Modpack is C:\Temple of Elemental Evil. If you are using a modern operating system like Windows 7 or 8, it is best to avoid installing to the Program Files directory, as those operating systems may not allow unrestricted access there. The Circle of Eight Modpack and Installation Utility require unrestricted access. The default installation location for most versions of ToEE is generally in Program Files. We recommend you change this and install to the root directory of your C: drive.

Follow all on-screen prompts. If you are told that the folder you are installing to already exists and asked if you want to continue, answer yes. After the modpack has been deployed, the Circle of Eight front end utility, TFE-X, will automatically launch.

If this is a new installation, TFE-X will perform the necessary operations to convert your installation for use with the Circle of Eight Modpack. Be patient; this can take some time. When TFE-X is finished, it will report the status to you in a popup window. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS POPUP NOTIFICATION WINDOW, THE CONVERSION IS NOT COMPLETE. DO NOT CTRL-ALT-DEL OUT OF THE TFE-X APPLICATION. WAIT FOR THE POPUP WINDOW. Next, select the Circle of Eight Modpack from the TFE-X menu and click 'activate.' This can also take some time. WAIT FOR THE POPUP WINDOW TO TELL YOU THAT THE MODULE ACTIVATION IS COMPLETE. DO NOT CTRL-ALT-DEL OUT OF THE TFE-X APPLICATION. After the module has been activated, you may customize various options through TFE-X and launch the game.

If this is an existing installation to which you are simply adding the Circle of Eight Modpack, simply select the Circle of Eight Modpack from the TFE-X menu and click 'activate.' This can also take some time.

Since version 4, TFE-X will give you feedback on the progress of conversion and module activation. Pay attention to this feedback and do not interrupt any of TFE-X's operations.

You may subsequently launch TFE-X via the Circle of Eight Modpack > TFE-X start menu command or via the Circle of Eight Modpack desktop or quickstart icons, if you choose to create them during the installation process.

    FIXED

About Otello: I can confirm the issue using exclusively the Co8 8.0.0 Modpack with 8.0.1 addon (but the problem is introduced by the 8.0.0 modpack, not the addon).

I am pretty amazed nobody noticed this, unless it's just a local problem of mine although I can't see how.

Testing this is extremely easy: just start a new game, go north of the pumpkin's field in Hommlet and you'll meet Otello by the well, walking south.

I'd be grateful if somebody else could confirm the issue.

    FIXED

    Typo in Armario's dialogue:

    FIXED

Daryk and Murlynd are correct that the Wakizashi does slashing damage in the computer game but states in its long description that it does piercing damage.

Ran into a situation I don't think is intended -- if you first enter the Temple by way of Rentsch, the Sentinal and Romag's Chambers, and therefore do not have Earth Temple Robes, when you leave Romag's Chambers to kill the snake for the first quest you will be attacked by any and all Earth Temple denizens even though you're on a mission for Romag. Perhaps Romag can give the party Earth Temple Rings or a set of Robes to allow free movement as part of the Earth Temple.

Lareth has Two Weapon Fighting feat and has club and light mace. Only the club is equipped however; the light mace stays in his inventory. On countless reloads he only attacks with the club.
