Would any of the following be able to be modded in at any point: 1. Races A. Sub Races like Grey Elves (INT modifier instead of DEX Modifier) B. Non-Standard Races (Nothing with HD or Level Adjustment though) 2. Feats A. At least most of the feats from the PHB B. Some of the better feats from the other books 3. Spells A. Most of the spells from at least the PHB (I understand no limited wish or wish but I don't understand no Evard's Black Tentacles) B. Spells up to level 9 (since both the circle of 8 version and the GoG version allow characters to advance to level 20, but the spells stop at I think level 6 or 7. They have the slots for up to level 9, but they are currently only used for feat modified spells) 4. Classes A. Corrections, Wizard should be able to specialize in accordance with the PHB B. Alternate Paladin classes would be nice such as the Chaos Paladin C. Prestige Classes would be great D. Classes from the other books, The Healer class from the complete miniatures book would be extremely useful for instance. Basically I would like to see more of the options available in 3.5 D&D. I realize that this is a computer game so that limits some things but while I enjoy the game it seems like Trokia took the easy way out on the above mentioned items. Thank you for your time and your consideration. Joe
I don't know how to code, just wanted to know if they could do it and if they ever would. Found out when I got home and installed the mod that they did do the specialist wizard thing already though. (I only get internet through college right now)
A: The game was originally made with a 10th level limit. The next game that Troika proposed to Atari was the Against the Giants to Q1 supermodule where you could transfer your characters from TOEE and take them up to 20th. 1. The number of races are hard-coded in the engine so one would have to be removed in order for one to be added. In the past, there was discussion about removing the gnome race and adding the drow race. 2. See A above 3. Co8 has added some high level spells 4. See A above
An odd idea just struck me. . . odd races accomplished by using equipment. For instance, a "Drow Set" that you could equip which would give your character the special benefits of being a Drow, or a "Half-Celestial" kit that you could equip that would give you the effects of the Half-Celestial template. Level adjustments would probably be impossible to enforce in-game, but you could get the mechanical benefits that way, maybe.
How about sets though that duplicate non-level adjustment races such as the Grey/Sun Elf? I love the idea Erik. If you really wanted level adjustment race kits, then maybe an xp reduction when wearing them or something like that? The big problem with the kits is eventually you are going to get better gear. Thank you also for the response hellblazer. I was afraid it was going to be something like that, but I was hoping.
